Great place to stay for budget-watchers!
I stayed here for three nights with three girlfriends for a weekend at Disneyland and CA Adventure. The place was really clean, very helpful front desk staff, and it smelled nice. The walk from the hotel to the front gate is about 12-15 minutes, and it's close to a bunch of restaurants that are open late if you are hungry coming home late from the parks. We were all impressed with the cleanliness for the price. This place has been around forever, and I urge you to give it a try. I'd definitely come again.

Short drive from hotel
M&M Donuts - fresh, hot blueberry donuts - less than a mile away from the hotel. Open 9pm - 12pm daily. Best donuts I've ever tasted - indulgent late night snack.

Alpine Inn
Perfect value hotel for Disneyland. 15 minute walk to gate. Room was nice and staff was friendly. We were able to leave our bags until the room was ready. We arrived very early in the morning. Internet worked in the room all but one day. The breakfast was danish and juice, coffee or cocoa. That was really all we needed to get us going (another savings). Would definitely stay there again.

Great location, good price
I stayed here so I could attend the D23 Expo at the Anaheim Convention Center and go to the Disney parks. The hotel is across the street from the center and a few yards from the hotel is a back entrance to the Disney parks with a courtesy tram that takes you right to the entrance of the parks. The tram ran until an hour after Disneyland Park closed. There is no restaurant at this hotel but there are several places within walking distance or you can take the Disney tram to the parks and eat in one of the parks or in Downtown Disney.

Unhappy
Poor service
Everything went well, until the day of check out when I requested the Indian gentlemen to give me a receipt for the 50.00 per room hold that they put on the room if we decided to smoke. I advised him that we were nonsmokers and indeed had requested a a nonsmoking room. He refused to give me a statement or receipt acknowledging that we had not smoked in the rooms. I insisted, so he proceeded to go examine the room which was fine with me. He then found a sheet with coffee on it and said that coffee stained and wanted to charge me. I told him there was nothing anywhere regarding spilled coffee. He was rude and very reluctant on giving me a receipt varifying that we did not smoke in the room. He wasted about 30 min to 45 min of our precious vacation time. Finally, he gave me a receipt. This made me wonder how many times they have gone ahead and charged people..especially people from out of town who can not come back and dispute the charge. I think they make a business falsely acusing people of smoking in the room and then charging them $50.00.

Alpine Inn
The convention I was attending made it an easy walk from the inn to the Convention Centre. I have no complaints about the Inn. I told the manager that due to the restrictions I was faced with in Anaheim, I would not visit that or any other California city BUT if I should, I would stay at the Alpine Inn any time.

The good and bad
Hotel room was clean, quiet and affordable. There was a very skimpy continental breakfast with just coffee, orange juice and one roll and that was it. Very dissapointed. There is no entrance to the parks close by and they do not sell shuttle tickets for the disneyland shuttles. There is stops for the shuttles very close by.

Short walk from hotel
On Katella and Harbor there is a small strip mall with a great pizza place and affordable food. Also there is a small donut place for a quick bite. You can catch the shuttle to the park in front of the strip mall every 20 minutes on the hour. Take the #9 shuttle from the park back to the hotel which drops you off in front of the 7-11

Alpine Inn the Good and Bad
The room was clean and what I expected. We stayed in a room with two double beds that were comfortable. The room did include a nice size mini fridge as well as a microwave, hair dryer and coffee maker. We were very dissatified with the Continental Breakfast, which we were counting on to help fuel our morning before visiting the parks. The breakfast was a simple raisin danish pre-packaged, coffee and orange juice and that was it. Needless to say, we ate breakfast out every morning. We did fortunately find a small coffee/donut shop across Harbor Way. The hotel does not have any connections with the Disneyland Resort transit passes. I went to the hotel down the road to obtain one and they were nice but not too happy that I was not one of their guests. If you have little ones, you will want to find some passes as it is quite a walk to reach the parks. Additionally, the hotel tells you to take the parking lot entrance to the park and ride the parking lot trams. However, there is no entrance on Katella to get into the parking lot. We ended up walking a long way around to get in through Downtown Disney.
