The staff was friendly and check in and out was quick and painless. The rooms was confortable but smelled a little like someone was smoking in there. Good area only a short walk to food places and the beach. Quiet and peacefull. I was satisfied
with my experience.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short walk from hotel
many fast food places withing 3 blocks of the hotel, plus room service available. Cafe's and restaraunts withing a five-ten minute walk.
When I arrived the room was located at the far end near stairs that needed to be repaired. When I asked for a different room because of my injured foot, the staff gave me a larger room for the night that was closer to working stairs, and the next
day they found a room closer to the front. Both rooms were very clean and spacious with nice conveniences (wireless internet access, microwave, hair dryer, iron).
The location was ideal because I had to travel to San Francisco and Berkeley for meetings, and the bus lines were right outside the motel. Located nearby were a drugstore, several restaurants, a Starbucks, and banks within a few blocks.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Having 24-hour public transportation right outside the door. Bus could take you directly to Oakland's Rockridge District, or Alameda's Central Shopping District,or downtown Berkeley, or downtown San Francisco.
