Condo-like hotel setting overlooking a beach and lagoon
Coral Reef Inn & Suites sits on a lagoon across from the beach in Alameda, Calif. With views of San Francisco, the Coral Reef Inn & Suites allows guests to feel like they're getting away from the city, but travel just minutes to get there. Guests can reach downtown Oakland and the Oakland Airport in less than 15 minutes and travel to San Francisco in about 30 minutes. Horrible service!
Cancel my reservation just two day before the supposed check-in day. All I received was just a "sorry" while I have to coordinate for many people in the family to come here for my graduation. At least, I expect some types of compensation for the extra fee (and hassle) that I have to pay when booking for another hotel just days in advance (which I actually did several weeks ago with Coral Reef).

My Kids' Dad
Nice room with a REALLY dirty floor.
Its an older hotel, but the rooms and grounds are nice except for the floor. The linens and towels were clean, no bugs, reasonably clean room except the floor turned our feet black and the bathroom floor smelled like urine when it got wet from the shower. The pool was clean, but it was very cold. No thermometer but I would guess low 70's. My kids will swim in pretty cold water, and they couldn't stay in very long. It was also nice to have the little kitchen. Bring your own dishes and utensils. Microwave, stove, and fridge with a freezer. It's close to a little beach on the bay, and the mall and other shopping is also right across the street. Couldn't beat the price for the Bay Area. Best of all was Phillip at the front desk. There was a mistake made with the reservation from an on-line travel site. Phillip got on the phone himself and handled it. He was very helpful and friendly.

One Year Ago..
It will be one year ago in April that we stayed and completely enjoyed our stay. It Finally felt like we wee on a vacation! I look forward to staying here again next month, hope to get the same treatment for returning customers!

If you are a light sleeper ask for a room away from the bowling alley. Other than that the room was great for the price, everything was clean and the staff was awesome! It's across the street from everything you need; restaurants, grocery store, walgreens and 1/2 block to a beautiful quiet peaceful beach :)

Amazing value
Very nice deffently worth the price enough that I stayed an extra day, the hotel staff was more than amazing I was wanting to book another room and they gave me an extended check out so I wasent trying to book another night in the cold very friendly staff also I had left and the maid cleaned my room before knowing that I was staying another night and touched nothing but the bed, towels Etc very shocked nothing was missing cash etc two thumbs up

The suite we were in was older but super clean and cozy! Love the privacy of the bedroom. Also private entrance is a plus! Staff was helpful and accomadating. Walking distance to the lagoon and to shopping and eating. Great value for what you get. The only thing id change was the breakfast. Very few choices. We would stay here again!

Not exactly on the water, but.....
The hotel is located around the corner from the beach, across the street from a shopping mall. The hallway to the room had a funny odor, but the room was spacious and very clean. It even had a stove and refridgerator but no pans or silverware or dishes. I bought a delicious cupcake from a food truck that was parked in front of the hotel, and enjoyed eating my dinner from a restaurant at the mall comfortably in my room.

Great for the price! Hotel alittle old, but the location was great probably wont stay there again but was economical for our family of four. Again it was a prime location!
