Royal Motor Inn Yuma

Drove into parking lot. The place looked closed or abandonded. When I entered the office it smelled of curry so bad that it was on my cloths for the next few hours. There were 2 men in the office. Must be family owned because they were both in shabby clothes and no customer service. The one behind the counter helped me get my key. He instructed me to go to the back and pointed while saying the room number. There was no Cars in the front parking lot or infront of any of the front rooms(NONE). I get to the back and there is a little boy with a bandana on his face and a group of guys playing loud music and hanging out?? Gang?? I still enterented the room just to see... oh and by this time I have a knot in my stomach because the outside of the complex has gotten worse. I was not expeting a nice room and I was correct. It was very old and run down. The bed had hair all over the sheets with stains on sheets and pillows. It was by far the worst looking room I have seen. In the 3.5 mints I was in the room we could hear screaming and yelling from the other end of the building that the other cars were parked with the people hanging out. I decided to not stay here. The front desk would do nothing but give me another room. I refused wich lost me my money for the 2 night stay that I paid for in advance, $111.00 for walking into the worst hotel I have seen for 3.5 minuets. I still cant believe that I have no right to my money back when I never stayed there???????? RIP OFF!!

Terrible! The place smelled faucets leaked. The old man in the front office waited outside our room to make sure we were out by 11. Then charged me for another person cause I had my eighteen month old child and only told him two adults (myself and my wife)

Close enough to Mexican border if one wants to visit for a vacation or go to a doctor like we have.

[...] I cannot believe how bad this hotel was! The check- in experience was not good. The front desk was not kind or welcoming.I checked in and went to the room and the room had a terrible smell, the property was run down. I checked out of the hotel immediately. [...] the room was smelly and the furniture was not in the best of shape. There was a new microwave. The room was so bad I refused to stay in the room for an overnight stay. It was overpriced and I am extremely upset that I lost my money on this room. There were balconies or patios on each room but the hotel will need major renovations! I would have been ashamed to suggest this room to anyone. It should not be given a star rating of any sort.

just passing through. It was difficult to make the shower work. Fridge didn't work and made lots of noise. The guy at the front desk charged me extra $ in cash when I arrived which I didn't understand but it was late so I just paid. Room was not clean, pillows were stinky.

The a/c did not work and did not cool the room off. There was a language issue between the clerk and myself that made the check in very difficult.

The picture from the internet must be 20 years old. It said there was an exercise facility but there is not. I was hoping for an inexpensive place to stay the night the had wifi and a work out facility. There was wifi but the connection was poor and the speed was slow. The hotel is run down and in a shadey part of town. There is an Applebees right across the street and that is really the only thing going for it. It has a pool but I was afraid to even check it out. After looking at the room and location I wanted top leave but I had worked all day and did not want to pay for another place. I had dinner at Applebees which had good service and food. [...] Do not stay here.

would like to of been able to get a downstairs room. Looks like those must me rented by the month ? Needs a plumber to replace some loose fixtures.
