1st time we stayed the night at Williams, AZ and this was the only place we could book a room that could fit 6 adults. The room itself was comfy, free wifi and continental breakfast were good bonuses. The bathroom had a drain problem but at least
the staff were kind enough to let us use the bathroom of the vacant room next to us. All in all, for the value and if you plan to bring more than 5 family members to the Grand Canyon, I would recommend this Travelodge.
I picked this Travelodge because it allowed dogs and was inexpensive. I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was extremely nice and friendly, the room was clean and the bathroom was immaculate, and although it is on the
old Route 66 and across the street from where they store the trains to the Grand Canyon, there was no traffic noise (Route 40 is a short drive away, and there was very little traffic on Route 66). They even provide a small continental breakfast -- coffee, juice, toast, and muffins, but it was all included. And did I mention how pleasant the staff was?
The room is clean and tidy. The location is great which is near to the highway. It takes around 50min to grand canyon. The staff is kind and polite. They also offer simple breakfast. Overall, it is a pretty nice place to stay
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
It takes around 50 min to get to grand canyon village. Also, there is train station in williams that can take you to grand canyon
We Got a killer deal on two rooms in early November. The rooms were clean, the bathrooms were spotless and the gals at the counter were extremely friendly and helpful. Located right in the heart of Williams AZ within walking distance to great
restaurants and shops, less than an hour from the south rim of the Grand Canyon (at 1/3 the price of motels near park entrance). Overall an excellent choice for the frugal traveller.

Short walk from hotel
Roys Steak House is every bit as good as everyone says it is ;)
My wife and I stayed here two nights, to go check out the Grand Canyon. This hotel is about an hour away from the park, with great rates for what you are getting. We paid roughly 50 a night for a clean comfortable room, no complaints at all! We
enjoyed the hot tub when it was only 20 degrees out, very nice! The continental breakfast is ordinary with juices, bagels, oatmeal etc. There are lots of small town restaurants and stores to check out during your down time.
Way better to stay in Williams than closer to the park- its a lot more expensive by the park, with fewer eating options.
