Our reservation said room would be ready by 1pm and when we got there staff said it would be 2 more hours. We also had an issue with some one smoking near our room and they made no attempt to fix this problem. We won't stay here again.
A hassle at the end of a long drive is not worth it
Not great building. Not competent staff. Guard your personal info. We saw a stack ck-in info (names, license plate #s, addresses) sitting on the counter and unattended for a very extended period due to staff being AWOL.
When we arrived, there was no staff at the front desk. We looked around, waited, looked around some more...
There was NO staff in the building or on the grounds, the motel back-office door was wide open so the check-in counter was completely
accessible. Computers,, supplies, and receipts (with personal info, if not credit cars numbers) were sitting in plain sight on the open and easily accessed countertop. We waited for 20 minutes... I considered calling police to report the odd and suspicious situation.
After 20 minutes, the desk clerk arrived through the front door.
This hotel was good for a place to lay your head in the evening. It was clean, the tile/linoleum floors meant we didnt have to worry about dirt or bugs in the carpet, and they were pet friendly, even to our 80 pound dog. The room was deocrated
dated 70's and the beds and bedding were average. Nothing to write home about.
If you are coming up for the Grand Canyon, or to spend the days out. Not a bad place to stay.
