Nostalgic Route 66 town
We stayed in Williams when visiting the Grand Canyon. We chose the Holiday Inn because we could get a room with 3 queen size beds for our family of 5. The room was very spacious. The beds were very comfortable. Didn't have a change to use the pool. My husband enjoyed the breakfast buffet but the rest of us chose to eat in town. Not walking distance to the main street but just a few minutes drive. Only complaint was rusty-colored water coming out of the taps on Saturday morning that may showering and brushing teeth unpleasant.

A good stop before Grand Canyon
Conveniently close to freeway, restaurants, and gas stations. Good value for family. Hallway is too hot and stuffy. Did not like the room being too far at one corner of one wing. May be what we've for the deal from Orbitz. No elevator to the second floor. If you need a place to stop, rest, and shower, this is the place.

Don't need to book a room in Grand Canyon or near by. Much lower room and food cost in Williams. Stop and rest on the ourskirt before the long day in Grand Canyon

So, the hotel was okay. One really important note: THERE IS NO ELEVATOR. If your room is on the second floor, you have to carry your luggage up 2 half-flights of stairs. We traveled with a senior, who was feeling a bit under the weather, and our room was in the middle of the second floor - the longest trip with luggage. No sympathy from the front desk. The lady working at the front desk was not very helpful either. She really couldn't tell us anything about the area (or even what was in the gift shop in the hotel) and gave us really wrong information about a popular tourist attraction. The hotel itself was really warm; it seemed like there was no air conditioning in the common areas. Also, the internet was a little finicky and frustrating to deal with. Personally, I wouldn't stay there again, but if you're looking for a budget hotel and don't care about not having an elevator or knowledgeable, helpful staff.....have fun.

There is a decent full-service restaurant in the hotel. The buffet is a good deal. The service is somewhat lacking, but it is certainly convenient and has some variety.
