We Expected More

We stay in Tucson often, but hadn't stayed at the Viscount Suites in over a year. When we stayed before, they had a great complimentary breakfast, clean, well-appointed rooms, and a friendly staff. I will say, the staff is still friendly, but the free breakfast is long gone. The rooms at the Viscount, while large, are shabby. Ours had patched wallpaper and broken veneer on the doors. The furniture in our non-smoking room was covered with cigarette burns. There were large cracks in the sink and patches of mold on the grout around the tub. The television was missing its remote control. The air conditioning control had no way to set the temperature, so it was boil or hang meat. Although the beds were comfortable, the linens were old and pilled. As the Viscount is considerably more expensive than other nearby hotels, we were shocked by the lack of upkeep.

Great place to stay!

Great fitness room with treadmills and ellipticals. Nice pool. Laundry room available. Very clean and safe environment. Good location mid-town. Rooms were plain and simple yet spacious and with all the amenities (i.e. microwave, coffee maker, refridgerator, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, two TVs, etc.) Bed and pillows were VERY comfortable!

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

Tucson restaurants tend to close early so if you find yourself out late and still want a good dinner a great restaurant that is open till Midnight every night (except Monday) is Pastiche on N. Campbell Ave (north of Glenn). About 12 minutes drive from hotel.

Fine Hotel Stay

I like having the bedroom set back from the entrance and living room- it made for quieter sleeping quarters. We had a king size bed which was very comfortable. The shower had a good shower head with lots of water pressure and plenty of hot water. The free breakfast buffet was good enough. It offered something for everyone- just the basics to get you on your way. The price was right and it's a convenient location (only 10" from the U of A). It was my 3rd visit there and I plan to return in a few months. :)

Hot Stay!

Breakfast buffet was great, staff was very helpful and courteous. The room A/C wasn't working when we got there, and it never really got as cool as we like it. Everything else was great!

It was Awesome!

I always have enjoyed the Viscount and it is an awesome hotel. The only thing was that there was some stains on the comforter which was not good but overall it was an awesome hotel! I would definitely go back.

Nice Place to Stay

This hotel was nice and in a good location. The rooms were very nice sized, it had a living space and bedroom space. Unfortunately, they were remodeling so it smelled like paint! We would stay there again if in Tucson.

Our home while touring the UA college

My son and I were in Arizona to tour the University of Arizona college. We found the hotel quite easy to get to and it was only about five miles from the college. The front desk staff was very friendly and well informed.

Tucson gem

The hotel staff asked what floor we would like to stay on. That's a first! We were told the best location to park for our room and how to access the side entry doors. Everyone was friendly. We will return again.
