Charged extra for usual amenities.

Very nice hotel, but unhappy with being told upon arrival that we had to pay an extra charge of $10/day for use of the facilities. This amounted to an increase in price over what we had already prepaid.

Great value, good quality room with kitchen

Have stayed at this hotel a number of times...technically it is a timeshare for Diamond Resorts. This time, the room was an upgrade from what I booked (got a 1 bedroom instead of a studio)., which was great. Really like having the kitchen, it makes the room value much higher. Jetted tub is also a nice perk. This is our go-to place when we need a hotel in town. Car is good to have for getting groceries, though hotel is on a major bus route. There are a few restaurants within walking distance. We like that it is a short drive to the UA campus.

Fun Times

I have been coming to VCA in Tucson for about 2 years. I am in a program through the University of Arizona that requires travel 2-3 times per year. Every time I have stayed, I have been greeted by friendly staff and excellent service. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

Guadalajara is an excellent Mexican restaurant. It is about a 20 minute drive north but is well worth the travel!

Centrally Located and Great size

This hotel is really located well within Tucson, between both sides of Saguaro National Park. The rooms are large and come with many kitchen amenities and a jet tub. The bed was comfortable as well. The bathroom was a little dirty, a long time dirty.

NO COMPLAINTS HERE !

Central location large rooms /suites . Getting all of this for around $100 is pretty good these days. Complete kitchens and two large flatscreen TVs in the suite made it really feel like home away from home. Rooms with balconies are a special treat. I would certainly return.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

Most all of Tucson's better restaurants are up in the foothills headed north to Campbell area. The nearby University area has little cafés and some good alternative food. But for the most part, don't expect this town to match up to gourmet food resorts like Scottsdale or Palm Springs. You might find a good steak if you look hard.

Varsity Club in Tucson

Needed a quick inexpensive place to stay for last minute medical conference. It was probably the most comfortable bed I have used in the past 10 hotel stays this year. Staff was friendly, room was large and had full kitchen, living room, hot tub bath, and large bedroom and closet and safe. Facilities were conveniently located to downtown and the price was right. I was very pleasantly surprised and would recommend staying here again. Be warned, the facility decoration is all sports, but clean.
