My stay at this hotel was surprisingly comfortable and enjoyable. The room was very large, clean, and included a kitchenette. I didn't use the pool but it looked so clean and inviting. There is a nice size laundry room for guests use if needed. I think for the price, this is the best hotel I have ever stayed at! Thank you Studio 6!

Best Budget

Stayed at Studio 6 for several days. Location is convenient to I-10. Request a room facing Outlet Center Drive to avoid highway noise. Room was generally clean and facility overall well cared for. Appears to have been recently remodeled, granite counter tops in kitchenette and bath. Ceramic two burner cook top and microwave, plus coffee maker and toaster. Comfortable bed. Smoking neighbors was not an issue. Seldom saw or heard other guests, although the hotel was full. Not a bad deal for the price.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

No restaurants within walking distance and then mostly fast food. Best to shop and use the kitchenette.

Not for non-smokers

We stayed here for a couple of weeks. We stayed in a non-smoking room. The entire part of the building we stayed in were non-smoking rooms. The rooms are nice enough although not very clean, but the clientelle is mostly smoking construction workers and the noise and smoke from these people is horrible. This made our stay the worst we have ever had in a motel, and we have travelled all across the country. Arizona law prohibits smoking within 20 feet of doors and ventilation systems. At this motel, smokers not only smoke inside the non-smoking rooms, but smokers also have chairs set up next to the building in the non-smoking section of the motel, so they can smoke in comfort. Others stand next to other people's doors and air conditioners smoking. Smokers also loiter all over the stairs. The smoke gets into other people's rooms through the air conditioners and spaces around the doors. Our room was so full of smoke coming in through the air conditioner that it smelled like someone had been smoking inside our room. The only solution was turning off the air conditioner, which made the July heat unbearable. Even then, smoke still came in around the door and we couldn't step outside our room without getting smoke in our clothes and hair. The motel is in direct violation of Arizona smoking laws by allowing this. More than once we saw a manager or assistant manager walk past the smokers and he didn't even ask them to step away from the building. They let them smoke wherever they want. There are smoking receptacles by the non-smoking rooms, which isn't allowed by state law. There are no non-smoking signs up on the property prohibiting smoking next to the buildings. Signs are required by law. If you are a smoker you will absolutely love this motel because you can smoke anywhere you want, even in non-smoking areas. If you are a non-smoker or have any kind of breathing problems or allergies, you will hate it. The noise from the construction workers and out of control kids is also a big problem. The construction workers congregate outside, yelling, drinking, and of course smoking. You cannot enjoy the pool without kids diving and horseplaying. The sign says no diving or horseplaying but if you complain to the desk crew, they say they can't do anything about it. How about if someone is breaking the rules, ask them to leave the pool. Simple! The kids also use the balconies, walkway and stairs as their personal playground and run around screaming, bouncing basketballs against people's cars, skateboarding and rollerblading in front of people's rooms. Of course the parents are nowhere to be found. This could be a really nice place if some rules were enforced by management. Until then, I would not recommend it unless you can't afford anything better.

Nice motel in troubled area

The motel was very clean and comfortable. But we learned that there is gang activity in the area. Several cars had been stolen out of the parking lot at night during the past month.
