Not at all what I expected
The first room we were given was a handicap room, fortunately they were able to move us to another room. In the new room two electrical outlets didn't work. The front desk sent an engineer to fix the problem. I held the flashlight so he could see what he was doing. The next day our refrigerator didn't work, they left exposed electrical wires and plugged the fridge into the lamp outlet, not acceptable. They upgraded us to a suite and when my girlfriend opened the doors on theTV cabinet one came off and hit her in the head resulting in a visit to the nearest hospital. The front desk staff was great but I would never again think of staying at this Sheraton, nor would I ever recommend it to anyone.

Family Get Together/birthday/new child celebration
My room was my refuge. Family celebrations are exhausting. My room had a balcony that had a tree right in front of it, giving me privacy and a filtered view of the pool, scenery, and sky as well as fresh air when the sliding door was open. Simply wonderful. The menu does not do justice to the food and wine that the Spice and Fire restaurant produces, not at all! Their version of Southwestern is subtle, healthy, and a balm after the fast food of airports. Next time, I may just reserve for a month and not tell the family!.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
Just across the parking lot is a Thai/Chinese restaurant with perfectly enjoyable food and ambiance when one wants a change. A block away is a big drugstore with wine and snacks. And next door to the Chinese is the IHOP! Two blocks away is the hospital and you are welcome to go their healthy cafeteria. I, like armies, travel on my stomach

We were very comfortable in this clean, secure hotel. It has a wonderful atmosphere. We enjoyed the fire pits every night , oh and the smores every night too. They had jazz music playing on some nights that was great. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean and the pool area was nice.

Unclean
Stayed there while moving my son back to college. Room was quiet except for the noise from the air conditioner. Every 10-15 minutes in sounded as if it was purging. The bathroom needed alot of help. It smelled like urine and the toilet was indescribably dirty, the tile in the floor needed heavy duty cleaning. It didn't help seeing that the walls were old and cracking and the door was in very poor shape and would jam. Although the lobby and the area/rooms around the lobby looked great. Our side of the hotel felt as if we were in a different hotel.

2-Day Weekend Stay for Reasonable Price
Went to Tucson, AZ to visit some cousins that we have not seen in 17 to 20 years. It was nice meeting with my cousins and their grown up children. While we were staying in at the Sheraton Tucson Hotel and Suites, we encountered minor inconvenience for two hours upon arrival. We arrived on the property at about 9AMish. The air conditioner (AC) was not working, but the room was still in a comfortable temperature, about 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Made a call for the AC to be fixed. The AC mechanic did not show up after 1 hour wait. Then I called again because the room was getting a little warmer, about 70 degrees Fahrenheit, but it was not hot. Finally, an AC mechanic came by looked at the AC compressor and told us he would need to replace it. He took out the AC compressor and went to retrieve another one. Within 1 hour, he was able to installed a new AC compressor. The AC worked well, thereafter. In spite of the little inconvenience with the AC for 2 hours, we are pleased with the clean room, clean fresh towels, Starbuck ground coffee, and a nice place to rest after traveling and driving for 7.5 hours from Las Vegas, NV to Tucson.Overall, I will come and stay here at Sheraton Tucson for the same or lower price that was offered [...].

So So...
I booked a sweet and was given a room that was used for guests that "like to party" This was not what I was looking for. Be carful where they place you in the hotel or else you could get a room that should only be rented to college kids.

Definite downgrade from last visit
There is a noticable lack of cleaning in the hallway walls. Most disappointing was the discontinuance of the complimentary hot breakfast provided on our last visit. We did not use the pool but there was a live musical preformance on Saturday night. Might as well remove the table top pool table-hardly worth the space used. For a name branded hotel it does not rate average. As for a balcony room-don't bother unless you're 5'6'' or less; the rail is low and the balcony (perch)is maybe 12 inches wide.

The hotel looked magnificent from the front as well as the lobby. Our room was on the first floor and the entrance to the room was around the side entrance. The door to the room had many black marks on it, the carpet was stained in the room and I found a old blood stain on one of the comforters. Not many immenities in the room, room service was great once we were able to get in touch with them. Took about three tries. The room smelled like most hotels, nothing special and the bathroom left something to be desired.
