This recently renovated hotel is located across from Pima Community College, and just a one-half mile from the University of Arizona, downtown, and the Tucson Convention Center. Whether visiting Tucson for business or pleasure, the Rodeway Inn hotel is your best value. Free continental breakfast, wireless Internet access and outdoor pool. This is a pet-friendly hotel. Pet policy: 10.00 per pet, per night. Limit two pets per room, pet should not exceed 35 pounds. Please use lobby night window if arriving after 11PM.

Non-smokers beware

I booked the room on-line and requested a single queen non-smoking. At check-in I was informed that all single queen rooms are smoking. Two-queen and king rooms (the only non-smoking rooms) are more expensive. A typical '50s motel layout with small rooms and minimal amenities, outside entrance and stairs. The rooms have been partly renovated but mine still had a musty smell that did mostly air-out with the window open.

Interesting....to say the least.....

We stayed at the hotel just for one night for business purposes. The room was clean enough, and they accomodated our early arrival (about 9AM). About 30 minutes afer we checked in, we were in the room when part of the staff opened up the door and tried to come in. The hot water ran out a couple times while we were there in just the two short days. And in the middle of the night one of the other guests though it would be a great idea to slam their door repeatedly, echoing throughout all the rooms and waking us up.
