Average and old

The room had old couch and chair with worn armrests and very outdated decor. Looks great from the outside with beautiful pool and grounds, but quite dated in the room. Needs new carpet and tile on the floors with updating for the bathroom sink and tile. Very disappointed in the quality for a Radisson.

Good family value.

This hotel is close enough to attractions, restaurants and shopping places. One would expect better amenities in a Radisson hotel. The wireless internet is somewhat slow and the cable tv is limited. One's room will become noisy if situated near an elevator as families seem to really dig this place and kids quickly fill the place. A good enough for the price asked.

Nice Stay

We were pleased with the hotel. Even though this was Homecoming Weekend at the university and the hotel was full, it was very quiet. The rooms are well insulated from noise in all directions.

A beautiful Oasis

My daughter and her family live in Tucson and I visit several times a year. They are only minutes away from the Radisson Suites - our whole family & guests stayed here for their wedding in 2006. My 2 granddaughters loved to come and visit me while I stayed this time - the pool, hot tub and beautiful grassed areas made it wonderful. They would rather come back here then go anywhere else!

Overall ok experience

This hotel is nice for the money, and I will admit that I have very high standards. The room I stayed in has a sleep number bed which was very comfortable and helped me sleep all night without waking up as I am very sensitive. The hotel staff is extremely friendly and the service is fast and efficient. I ordered a glass of wine to be brought out to the hot tub and it was there as soon as I showed up. Anything that I asked for I got right away and that I like. The tv in the bedroom is new although the channels suck, but its good for the money. The pool and amenities make this hotel a bit nicer than just the average three star hotel. I would stay again.

Consistently top notch

Radisson Tucson East has beautiful well-maintained suites with large living room, compartmented bathroom with separate tub and shower, and balconies. Nearly all suites offer panoramic views of the majestic mountains surrounding the Tucson valley. The entire architecturally pleasing structure is a long spacious quadrangle, built to enclose a spectacular tree-filled central courtyard; an oasis divided up into a series of individual spaces: inviting patios, lush green lawns, gardens, small courtyards within courtyard, one graced by a charming fountain. There is also one of the nicest pool areas to be found anywhere. Hotel has great, friendly and professional -- and thoughtful/considerate -- staff. The hotel also features "Sleep-Number" beds in most suites; adjusting the bed to feel like your own bed at home helps you sleep as well at the hotel as you do in your own bed -- good rest makes for better trip. I've lost track of how many times I've stayed at eastside Radisson, too numerous to count; my favourite place to stay in Tucson. Am glad [...]almost always offers Radisson Tucson East among hotel choices that can be incorporated into the site's value-priced "flight-hotel-car" packages.

Dining tip: In Hotel

Weather permitting, have dinner at least once at the hotel restaurant's poolside patio (food good). If traveling with kids, enjoy the poolside family movie-night and cookout in the courtyard, Saturdays during the summertime (movie starts at dusk).

Radisson - Tucson

Personnel were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and my stay was quiet and restful. The bed was hugh and I was suprised to have a "Sleep Number" bed. I would suggest a minimal amount of silver-ware in the kitchenette. A spoon, fork, and knife. I was satisfied with my stay. I do think that it should be noted that local calls are billed from the room. If you are a business traveler and are contacting businesses in the community it seems excessive to pay for local calls.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

Sonora Nature Museum is about 14 miles from the hotel, due west on Speedway Blvd.. If you would like to see the outskirts of Tucson it is a good option. I would also suggest a hike up Sabino Canyon which is only a 20 minute drive from the hotel.

My assessment,of our stay.

The front desk needs new people. All very unfriendly . Hotel room was very nice. Telephone never worked. Coffee maker did not accomplish, that which it stated. Looked high and low for ice machine and never found it , on the first floor. Wanted to dine, at the restaurant, short handed, and waited and waited, to no avail. Of course, we left, and went elsewhere. Pool patio closes earlier, than other places, we visited.

Restaurant prices, appear in line, but could not get anyone to service us.The people, in the area, where we now reside, are much friendlier and more cordial.Radisson can do better with those, who greet you. Initial meeting, of guests, is everything.
