Honeymoon getaway
Great place to stay with a beautiful room and view. All the staff was friendly except a lady at the front desk, which is sad because she sets the tone for the whole stay. Other than her I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

Amazing place
My husband and I absolutely loved this place. The setting is gorgeous, staff very helpful and the food was great too. Bartender rocked...we ate in the main locale, not the restaurant across the parking lot. For those interested, the bathroom was beautiful- the one-door shower is a bit odd! Bed very comfy and the room clean. We had a small patio we loved- my error in not requesting a particular view but, we still loved what we had. Would love to go back and spend a longer visit.

Not the Level of Service We Expected
Our room was beautiful - no question about that, but unfortunately, when we checked in at twenty to five, it wasn't ready. We had planned on freshening up before our event, but that didn't happen. The front desk staff offered to upgrade us to the Presidential Suite, for a mere $600 more! It was beyond irritating! They also offered to put our luggage in our room, but that didn't happen, either. When we returned to the hotel at 11:30, we had to go through the whole check in rigamarole again, and they had to find our luggage. Disappointing.

Rain, rest, and relaxation
Check-in was quick and painless even though we arrived early. The room had a great view of the pool and mountains. The side-by-side soaking tub in room was a highlight. The food at Bill's Grill was tasty. The Flying V was overpriced, service was average, and the food was not great. I would not return to this restaurant. The Sunday brunch at The Canyon Cafe was arguably one of the best brunches I have experienced; well worth the money. Room service for our night in was tasty. Grounds are beautiful. Rainy during monsoon season, get your sun at the pool in the am before the clouds move in. Overall, great trip for relaxing at a great rate.

Beautiful location.
This hotel is located right near the Ventana Canyon Wilderness Trail. We had a beautiful hike up into the canyon and saw some wonderful bird life there. The hotel is great for a weekend if you want to stay put. If you are there longer you will want transportation to visit other areas of Tucson. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was very comfortable. It's a big hotel, and there are quite a lot of people coming and going. Not for those looking for a B & B type experience.

Loews Ventana Canyon Resort
We had a very enjoyable stay at the Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson. Rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean and most have views! Staff are courteous and helpful. The lounge and pool areas are very nice. There is a large pool complete with all amenities that's perfect for fun and families. Check out the lap pool and spa located next to the fitness center, tennis courts and golf clubhouse. It was a great place for a workout. I didn't play golf on this trip but would love to come back. The course is beautiful. On a holiday weekend the parking lot was full to overflowing but this would probably be no problem on most other dates. Guests should know that the resort charges a $9 per day parking fee to all guests who have their own vehicles. Steve

Exit the resort and drive a half mile or so to the intersection of Craycraft and Estes and you'll find a small shopping center with several good restaurants.
