"Business trip"
Spent little time at the hotel but when I did the service and tranquility were exceptional. I had no problem checking in or out and everything was in order.

The location was optimal, but my first impression wasn't great. Our flight into Tucson was late and the rental car counter for Alamo was closed so I called for the shuttle. It had stopped running as well, so I took a cab with my two kids to the hotel. Onnly to find ouot its less than half a mile to the hotel and we should have walked! The room did not have soap and shampoo but they did provide it after I went down and requested it from the front desk. The gentleman at the desk the nexr evening suggested a restaurant that didn't turn out to be that great, but who goes for Italian in Tucson anyway, right?

Hotel Stay
The staff at La Quinta is top shelf. My only complaint is that I did'nt realize the hotel was "pet friendly". Not being a pet person, I was'nt too happy. I think they should have specific floors or rooms designated for pets. Other than that, the room was quiet and fairly clean.

Stay in Tucson
It was nice to have someone there when I checked in late, and even though the hotel is by the airport, noise was minimal. The room was clean, the breakfast was average but fine, and the staff were helpful.

Eh...certainly not bad, but...
The hotel was nice and clean. Definitely cannot argue with that, and therefore I have no complaints regarding cleanliness. I was quite pleased. They have a pretty small gym, though, that appears that they do not go in and clean often. Floors had not been vacuumed in what looked like quite a while and the machines had that grimy look to them. We were initially placed in a smoking room when I had specifically requested a non-smoking room. However, the staff was very kind and accomodating and moved us to a much nicer (smoke free!) room. It is a beautiful hotel with a decent continental breakfast. My biggest complaint, however, is that the hotel is not in any way close to actual restaurants (excluding fast food). This was most disappointing.

Housecleaning?
Location is convenient, room is average. Housecleaning skipped our room. We called to remind them (no response), then called back and the staff had left for the day.
