Gorgeous view

Stayed two nights to be close to the Catalina Mountains on my way down to Tucson from the Phoenix airport. Enjoyed the beautiful view from balcony, hot tub, great food at the restaurant, and proximity to Sabino Canyon and Tohono Chul park. Charming rooms and pretty landscaping enhanced the overall wonderful experience.

POOR SERVICE AND VERY DIRTY

We had reservations for a Casita and got a room. Very disapointed. The bar area was not cleaned in the 3 days we were there. The same paper napkins were on the floor all 3 days. Our first night we dined in the restaurant and waited over 30 minutes for our dinner and over 20 minutes for desert which we cancelled due to POOR SERVICE & time. Willl NOT stay here again.

great for our needs

The hotel was older, and probably grand in its prime. The bed mattress was excellent! The bath area was very small, and with no shower door. This caused some water to extend to the floor. The staff was excellent in accommodating our needs for directions and the need for a fan. Overall a good value for the money.

Nice quiet place

Have stayed here a couple times now and they have been great, except this last visit. I booked a casita and paid for a casita but there were no casitas available when I checked in. I understand that sometimes things don't work out but no effort was made to compensate for the error. I'll wait a while before I stay here again.

Great getaway

My husband & I needed a getaway and have two older small dogs that we wanted to take with. We discovered that a Casita at La Posada would be perfect because it has an individual yard for the dogs just off the kitchen area of the casita. It was very convenient and the room was perfect for our stay. We enjoyed the great hospitality and staff was very helpful. King bed was perfect and very comfy and the dogs had the queen rollaway just at the foot of our bed. Truly enjoyed all that this hotel has to offer including the nice hot breakfast.

Ask for specific room location for peaceful nights sleep

Rooms with connecting doors are noisy. The door is hollow core and there is only one door instead of two to help with noise. Level 2 has parking & road noise. Lower level without connecting door is great. Complimentary breakfast was limited & the same every day. Ran out of some food items by 8am. Rooms are clean & staff pleasant. Had to unplug lamp to turn off. Bed comfort was excellent.

Great Casitas

Perfect with the exception that the restaurant in the reviews "Miguels" is no longer there but has been replaced with a more casual "Gringos". Also, as a sister property to the Hampton (next door) it does not always get it's share of papers.

Sightseeing tip: Not Applicable

Nearly all attractions are but a short drive from the hotel. The west national park is maybe the longest at 30 minutes in traffic but really much shorter.
