Great Staff and Amenities
We stayed at the La Posada by chance. We were very pleased with the room, pool area, and Miguel's restaurant. The room was very quaintly decorated. Get the headboard with the mural on it! The sink area is private from the room and then private from the shower/toilet area. The linens on the bed were impressive! The staff couldn't have been nicer. Smiles all around and genuine to boot! The breakfast with the room was the real thing. GOOD food.

WOW!!!
The front desk clerk was EXTREMELY friendly and helpful and our room was absolutely beautiful!!! They gave us a room with a view of the adjoining golf course and mountains. We checked in early, but they did have a room ready for us. WE WILL BE BACK!!!!

Wow, what a deal
The hotel is clean and long on charm and character. It's far from your usual plain Jane lodging. The room was very spacious and had a view overlooking Tucson and with a view of nearby mountains. Our rate was just $59 ($66 with tax), including breakfast, a super value given the character, cleanliness and style of this place. The bar offers 100 types of tequila -- but my only complaint: the bar closes at 10 pm, though there were still people in the bar at 11:30 the night I arrived. Anyway, I recommend this place and will be back.

Nice courtyard and dining room
For the most part the accomodations were great. Our room was a street level room and the shower and bathroom were next to the wall adjoining the covered walkway to and from the main office. There was a window from the shower/toilet area that opened to this aisleway. Not the best arrangement I've ever seen. Otherwise, room was comfortable, air conditioner was nicely adjustable and view of the courtyard was nice. We'd probably opt for one of the casitas or a lower level(non-street)accomodation next time.

Great value
I stayed at the posada on a business trip, and was pleasantly surprised. Orbitz had not notified the hotel of my reservation, i was in a hurry to make a meeting, so the person at the front desk decided to check me in under a new cash reservation and figure out the orbitz miscommunication later. This SAVED my butt!! I am very appreciative of the great customer service!! The room was clean, quiet, had great views, and the grounds were well kept. The pool was also very nice. All of this for a very reasonable price! Only downside would be it distance from downtown. Still worth it though

Luxury for Less--True Enough
Check in was casual-friendly; it would be nicer if she hadn't disappeared with my credit card for several minutes. Directions to room were excellent and accurate. The room was a delight--tiled floor, spacious bathroom, fridge, sink, microwave, coffee maker. Room was advertised as having mountain views, and did. Night time had city-lights views, also nice. Small glitches--a towel rack that needs to be consciously avoided to sit on the toilet without bumping your head, the shower handle needed to be pushed in to work, can be overlooked. The accompanying restaurant, Michaels, a Mexican seafood place has potential, but just doesn't meet expectations. When the appetizer was too salty, too greasy and just overworked, they took it back with an apology and took it off the bill. The salsa is excellent, but our entrees were both over salted. Every dessert choice had blueberries in it or on it. The server was also gone for almost 15 minutes with the credit card. Attractions: Tucson is a great cultural treasure. Close by is the Tohono Chul park--a desert botanical garden. On the grounds is a restaurant and tea house, with a choice of courtyard, inside or patio dining. Try the lobster mac and cheese--excellent! Get your car filled up in Tucson--it's the cheapest gas in the state!

very beautiful
La Posada has wonderful amenities and beautiful surroundings. The location was also great if you want to get out. But with a view and personal balconies you might not make it out.

Beautiful grounds!
The place was clean, nice little patio in front, charming old-fashioned decorated Spanish tiled bathroom. Hand-painted headboard. Amenities and room were not particularly special otherwise, but the grounds were gorgeous! We enjoyed watching the the quail run around. Also very nice restaurant next door and Continental breakfast in the hotel next to the restaurant.
