Charming place
This is a beautiful place to stay. Lots of adobe and tile. The rooms are beautiful. The only downsides for us were (1) the pool was closed the day we were there. Something wrong with th chlorine level. (2)The light stayed on on the porch/balcony, a place that could have been very nice to sit at night and have a drink. Also had a very good breakfast selection.

Wow, what a deal
The hotel is clean and long on charm and character. It's far from your usual plain Jane lodging. The room was very spacious and had a view overlooking Tucson and with a view of nearby mountains. Our rate was just $59 ($66 with tax), including breakfast, a super value given the character, cleanliness and style of this place. The bar offers 100 types of tequila -- but my only complaint: the bar closes at 10 pm, though there were still people in the bar at 11:30 the night I arrived. Anyway, I recommend this place and will be back.

Hard to say
The hotel was average in my estimation. It is an old hotel so I believe it is overrated when it is referred to as a premier hotel. The room had only one chair, which was a wooden desk chair, it had only one tiny wastebasket which was inconveniently placed in the toilet area, only one wastebasket in the bedroom area next to the refrigerator, and overall was not as comfortable as I would have anticipated given that it is touted as a premier hotel in Tucson.

A good start
The hotel grounds are well kept, the beds and pillows comfortable and the view from the rooms is beautiful. This hotel would have gotten more stars if they had high speed wireless internet access in the rooms. They advertised that they did, and confirmed this information via phone prior to our booking rooms in their hotel. We arrived to find ZERO net access in the room which lasted the entire stay. Apparently they had been planning on getting new servers for months but had yet to pull that off. Breakfast was nice, but they need to hire a better dishwasher. Every morning there were dishes in the "clean" stack that were not. I would stay there again, with different expectations.

The Sonoran Desert Museum was the best surprise. Plan to spend most of the day, wear comfortable shoes and get an early start when it is cooler.

Weekend Stay
All was very good. the room was warm when we arrived. During the winter there should be warmer comfortable blankets. Only cause it was cold and windy during our stay. Need better lighting maybe use control knobs. Breakfast was AWESOME!!! its a TEN!!!! The yard was great. thank you

Needs some improvement
This would be a great place to stay if a few things were changed. Our TV, for instance, seemed to be set on analog and was very fuzzy. We tried to fix it, but couldn't. The menu on the TV was also in Spanish, which made it more difficult. There was only one bar of soap put in the room for 2 adults. the things I liked were the comfort of the bed, best pillows ever, and a relatively quiet heater and a/c unit. Just a few finishing touches would make this worth the price.

Beautiful property with lots of charm. Our room had a balcony overlooking a beautiful courtyard and mountain views. Lovely swimming pool and hot tub. Room was clean and had lots of character with hand-painted tiles in the bathroom and punched tin-type headboards on the beds. Excellent complimentary breakfast. Only downside was the attached restaurant/bar didn't seem to have consistent hours and is not open on Sundays.
