Everything I've come to expect from the higher end Marriott brands
From the minute we pulled up to the front entrance I knew the stay would be wonderful. The staff was kind and helpful and the resort was beautifully maintained. Although it was only 15-20 minutes outside of Tucson, it felt like we were tucked away in the mountains. The golf course was spectacular, hiking was convenient, and we never had a bad meal (we ate at every restaurant on the property. at least once.) I couldn't have asked for a better getaway with my husband.

Fabulous weekend
Had a wonderful mother-daughter weekend here. The staff was the friendliest and most helpful I have seen. The room was great, however my mattress felt like it was ready to be replaced-had body imprints on both sides. The spa was wonderful although I was surprised to see how dirty the stair carpeting was-the rest of the place was immaculate. Great hiking trails nearby. Some things were a bit expensive ie $13 for in room wifi, $13 margaritas however I wouldn't hesitate to come back.

Staff was great and helpful.
My wife and I had a great visit to Tucson while staying in JW Marriott. The pools were great as we are now visiting the idea of building a pool at our home similar to JW Marriott's pool but on a much smaller scale.

Luxury in Beautiful Setting
This was my 2nd stay here and I was just as pleased with the hotel and service as my previous visit. Staff very helpful. Jamie at front desk, concierge (from Rockford, IL), waiter Derek at pool, and detailed maid service contributed to a wonderful get away. Hiking trails right outside front door .At 6am daily is a guided hike for free which I took advantage of. Spa service top notch also. No one trains staff better than Marriott.

Marriot Starr Pass Resort
the hotel it self was great. The staff was amazing & very helpful. the only downside & this was a big deal to me was the food. I did not have a rental car so I was planted at the hotel for 4 days. The food choices are very limited & very expensive. I have dietary restrictions & the restaurants were not very flexible or helpful in that regard. if you have a car to drive elsewhere for food I would seriously suggest it. Otherwise its was a great place for either families or couples. they have tequila shots at 530 each day which was a very neat hotel ritual. snuggled up into the mountains of Tucson, you get to see some wildlife, there are hiking trails, bike rentals & 3 pool/swimming areas. Fun times other than the food. there is also a Starbucks on sight.

Unbeatable location for the price
We enjoyed the stay in this beautifully designed resort. The view and layout of this resort was phenominal. The staff was very courteous. We enjoyed cosing up on the front patio while enjoying live spanish guitar and endlessly staring at the city view. The pool was so much fun equipped with water slides and fountains. Our Exec suite was like a mini apartment, with spacious living room, bathroom and balcony.
