Nice hotel close to campus
The bed was comfy and the robe was a nice touch. Wired internet in the room, wireless only in the lobby, which was pretty lame. The workout room is small, and the pool is ok. Would be so much better if they had a hot-tub. Very nice if you want to be close to campus.

Clean, close to University, but needs updating!!!
For visiting a student at the University of Arizona, the location was perfect. The room was clean, price was reasonable, and the staff were all very friendly. The campus and plenty of food/shops/etc were within easy walking distance. The hotel itself, however, is badly in need of updating. The faucets in our room made a horrible screeching sound when turned, mattresses were pretty uncomfortable, and the ventilation system was somewhat lacking. Despite adjusting the thermostat, the room was stuffy throughout our stay (and this was in November -- could be a nightmare in the hot summer months!).

Loud, Loud, LOUD!
We are down in Tucson quite often and thought it would be nice to stay close to campus so we wouldn't have to drive to the game. The Sheraton has a wonderful location right at the corner of Speedway and Campbell, and covered parking to boot, so we thought - what's not to like? Quite a lot, actually. First off, when we got there, we were forced to wait in line just to get into the parking lot, and then show our reservation from Orbitz! It seems they sell parking on game nights. I'm so glad I thought to carry my reservation with me, I don't always in this age of computers. The hotel is old, and the upkeep is only so so. We got to our room and were greeted with an air-conditioning unit set on 60 and going full blast. The room was freezing! The sink dripped incessantly throughout the night and we could hear everything (and I do mean everything) that went on in the hall and the adjoining rooms. The bed was fine, but the room was inexplicably furnished with a ripped up kitchen type chair sitting in the corner - did someone forget about it? Even though we were several floors up, the traffic noise was earsplitting. I've stayed in many hotels close to major roads and never had traffic noise so bad it woke me from a sound sleep. There is no insulation to be had at the Sheraton. On the plus side, the staff was friendly and the view of the Catalinas from our window was stunning. However, this is not an inexpensive place to stay so I can only assume they get by because of their location, not their ammenities. For my money, there are far better deals to be had in Tucson.

Just Adequate
The hotel is, as stated in previous reviews, in serious need of an update. It is clean and in a central location but it's location is also very noisy. It is on the corner of speedway & campbell and the weekend traffic can be heard on the fourth floor until 3:00 AM. It's $75.00 price tag is about as cheap as it gets for something other than a motel 6, but no hotel should cost more than that.

Very disappointed
We checked in late 9 pm on Tuesday night and began finding things wrong with the room as we were getting ready 4 bed. The curtains were stained with some type of splattered liquid and the pull handle was broken. The sink drain would not operate properly. The ceiling by the A/C duct was black with soot. The bathroom sink had cracks in the counter top. This was one of the worst kept facilities I have ever stayed in. I informed the front desk about the problems and they thanked me for letting them know. They did not offer any type of compensation
