Very Bad Experience
My Family and I stayed there. Mom was having surgery next day. We picked this hotel for the location. The hotel smelled like urine. The bathroom does not have any ventilation. No sugar or creamer for the coffee. The pillows smelled bad. I do not recommend this hotel. Will not be staying here ever.

Horrible, Loud, and Rude Service
I visit Tucson every year for the annual gemstone shows and I had a horrible experience at this hotel. It started the second I went into the office to check in and there was no one at the customer service desk. I waited for about 5 minutes before someone showed up and he apologized and said he was doing laundry. I don't understand why the desk was not manned at approximately 6:30p.m my first day. The room was okay. There were stains all over the carpet floor which was a little gross but I looked passed that. I called the front office before going to bed(around 10 p.m) to get a wake up call and I was told that they do not do wake up calls. I prefer a wake up call in case the alarm clock malfunctions as they often do in hotel rooms but alas they did not do wake up calls which is a very basic feature in any star level hotel. Then I inquired about a hair dryer because there weren't any in the room and I was told that they do not have one either. I was starting to get upset at this point and what pushed it over the edge was the fact that the walls are thin and upstairs from me, it sounded like someone would drop a bowling ball every 15 minutes or so. The person upstairs either lived in this hotel because between hearing the dropping of the bowling ball and the constant running of water and the slamming of the cupboard doors, it was a nightmare. You can hear all of your neighbors in this hotel. [*] it is loud. In fact, I could hear the guy next door of me fart every so often. It was disgusting. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Then the last day, I asked if I could stay an hour longer than the check out time because my flight wasn't till 3p.m, and I was told that I could not because the guys said "I don't have enough hours for the maid". I have no idea what that meant but I thought it was a BS of an excuse. The maids were still there cleaning rooms after I checked out. Oh, and by the way, don't expect to have your room cleaned everyday. They don't do that in this hotel either.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
The only positive side is that if you do not have a rental car, there are a ton of places to eat close by and there is a CVS next to the hotel in case you forgot to bring something. That is where I bought a hair dryer for $30 since the hotel could not provide me with one.

Sleepless in Tucson
clean room, cheap uncomfortable bed!
At first glance the room was very nice, however when I went to sleep I found myself constantly rolling into the middle of a well-used cheap mattress. I had a backache in the morning. The night was chilly and turning on the ac unit was a mistake because it made noise all night, i could hardly sleep as it kept waking me. I will not stay with ESA hotel again.

We had a very bad nights sleep the first night. Uncomfortable bed and too much racket from the room above us. Complained to the management and they provided us with a better room and a better bed.

Not bad, but not wonderful
The hotel has some issues with things not exactly wrong, but not great. The room was clean but there were stains on the carpet, lights didn't always work and the kick plate on the door kept falling off. The beds although comfortable, made noise whenever you moved. The staff was very friendly and helpful and our stay was pleasant.
