Awful mean greedy people!

The management here is greedy, rude and mean. My son was going down to U of A for a college student orientation on May 26. We had his room booked at this place on May 25th. His car broke down in Phoenix on May 25th and we found out at 4:45 p.m. that the car would not be ready until late May 26 and U of A would not let him come to the orientation late. I called the hotel right away to change or cancel the reservation. They said it was after 4 p.m. so we would be charged for the room. I explained the emergency and they could care less. Finally they agreed to let me change the reservation to June 1 which was the next orientation date my son could request. I was told they would not charge my card for the May 25th night as we had rescheduled the date. On June 1 I called the hotel and they had no record of his reservation and even with the confirmation number they had given me before could not find the record. I called the 800 number and they said thay my credit card had been charged for one might on May 25th even though I was never told that would happen. These people are greedy and insenitive and could care less about you! Read other reveiws on different sites, yahoo, etc. and stay as far away as you can!

A hotel good for a night, maybe not two

I was traveling across country from Jacksonville, Florida. I had been sleeping in my truck for three nights so the thought of a hotel was great. Being on a budget I picked this hotel. Upon arrival it seems like a good place, after checking in is the only problem I had. I turned the corner to park and was greeted by three police officers and the border patrol. They were removing illegal's and flipping over everything in the rooms. I asked the police if this was a safe place and he informed me that it is not the greatest of areas. This made me a little worried but all was well. My truck and all its stuff was still there in the morning. The owners/employees were very nice. I would stay again, for one night, just not two.

Very Friendly Staff

I was on a business trip and was not at the hotel much but the staff was friendly and met all of my needs. The area surrounding the hotel was not the best but there was a gas station and a grocery store near by and that helped for those people on a budget.

SUCKED!!!

This hotel is AWEFUL!! The shower had mold in it, the shower curtain rod literally fell off the wall leaving a hole in it, sheets had stains on them, tv speakers were blown and had no volume, dresser drawers were broken and only 2 of them would open, toilet wouldn't flush correctly, shower faucet lever fell off, no hair dryer, and in the worst part of town. Every building had bars on the windows, if that tells you anything! I will NEVER stay there again or recommend it to anyone!

HORRIBLE LOCATION

Actually I didn't even stay. When I arrived at the hotel, there were homeless people, drug dealers and prostitutes all around. It felt extremely unsafe, I decided to stay elsewhere. I do not recommend this hotel, even if it is a good price.

nice new sign, same old room

Staff very helpful; very convenient. My wife and I were initially thrilled when arriving that there was a very fancy, new-looking EconoLodge sign out front -- which lead us to hope that it was recently remodeled. No such luck. Rooms have fixtures and furniture that are past their prime. Clean, just older and heavily worn.

Just a place to rest on the road

There was a wind storm and the electricity went out, so we had shower and pack in the dark.It was very difficult attempting to shower in the dark, and get dressed, since our goal was to be on the road by 5:45 am. We called to see if the front desk had any flashlights, but they only had one. For emergency's the hotel should have extras on hand to lend out to guests. I know it was a fluke, but we spent the day not feeling too clean, and left w our hair wet and hoping we didn't leave anything in the still dark room as we packed in the dark.

Money-saving tip: Not Applicable

If you just need a place to put your head, and you are not too worried about what the area looks like, you'll be fine. But wouldn't stay more than 1 night. The staff was very nice.
