Secluded resort setting with majestic views and central Tempe location
This mountainside oasis sits on 25 acres. Expect respite and recreation at this resort near Scottsdale and Phoenix. Rooms are well-appointed with amenities such as marble bathrooms and windows that open. There are five on-site restaurants and lounges including the Top of the Rock Restaurant with vistas of the city. There is also Narande Spa. IT was Great
we were there for a wedding but did some site seeing. it was very relaxing and it was a great location to everything

Marriott Great for the money...
Marriott hotel was nice initially driving up, inside of the check in was very nice too. The room looked ok, the beds were very uncomfortable and you could hear the springs moving around. The tables were dusty and the air conditioner was not cold enough. There were plantation shutters but it could never get dark in the room unless night had fallen. The location is ok if you want to be close to the airport, but there is very little to eat other than Fast food such as: Whataburger, Panda Express and Del Taco. No other restaurants in sight or within several miles drive. There is a charge for parking, but we were not advised, and got our final bill it was $10 each night. This was removed at check-out because the beds were lousy and they did not mention the fee. Overall would not stay there again.

Buttes is beautiful
We didn't partake in any on site restaurants but judging how everything else was top notch I'd bet those are too.

Most beautiful!
The pools and grounds are extraordinary!! Food was good, although we did not eat at The Top of the Rock, as it was very expensive. Although the comforters on the bed are puffy and luxurious, they made me too warm for a comfortable all night sleep. All and all, it was a great experience for our family to celebrate our son's college graduation.

Late sleeper
The Buttes Marriott Phoenix 2010
Nice appearance and location. Felt safe and taken care of. My only complaint is about the thin walls. Each morning it sounded as if a whole family was loud and lively inside my room. Calling the front office did not help. Otherwise, lots of eager helpful people. The $10/day parking fee was a surprise, but they removed it easily.

" charges, charges everywhere!!!!!!!
This place charges for things that are free at best western and other chains. $10/night to park in the motel parking lot is insane not to mention $.53/min to use the internet. I'll never stay at another Marriott again. Had I known about all these charges I would NOT have booked this place. Not such a good deal after all.
