Lots to do at hotel and within walking distance

Would recommend Thu, Nov 5, 2015
There's a good diner and taco bar on premises! Pool was warm and not crowded, very relaxing. Walking distance to Mill Ave. restaurants and bars. Definitely great for young people with no kids...but we had friends come visit us during our stay that have two kids (2 and 5 ish) and they had a good time as well. Would absolutely stay here again. Appeared to be pet friendly.

Very Comfortable Stay

Would recommend Wed, Oct 28, 2015
Very retro decorations but nice and clean. The attached bar/pub, diner, and coffee shop were great! Had the best blueberry pancakes ever! Nachos and margaritas were excellent. Staff was helpful and friendly. If we ever need accomadations in that part of town again, will certainly try to return.

The Graduate in Tempe AZ

Would recommend Mon, Sep 7, 2015
We chose this hotel for its proximity to the Gamage Theater, it is literally across the street and we were more than pleasantly surprised. The reservation was easy to make and the room rate was very reasonable. The decor is retro and a little cookie. Upon arrival the staff was friendly and professional and because of our schedule we chose to eat at the Normal Diner at the hotel. Very busy which may havr been because of the theater crowd but the food was very good and once again the staff was wonderful. After the show went to the Tabacuba bar for some shrimp tacos and a nightcap. All good. If you are seeing a show at the Gamage and are from out of town like us I heartily recommend the Graduate. And we saw Wicked. Awsome!

Would recommend Fri, Aug 28, 2015
I was very surprised and pleased with this hotel. Stayed one night on my way to Cali. The college theme is awesome and the rooms are great. Comfy bed, nice bathroom and there funky furniture and college feel is absolutely great. Rooms have a small patio which is great to relax. We tried the bar at the hotel and it was GREAT! Our waitress was nice and very attentive. Drinks are reasonably priced and the food is awesome.

Great value - chic rooms

Would recommend Tue, Jul 21, 2015
Great boutique hotel adjacent to ASU and not too far from Downtown Tempe. The room was very nice, clean, and comfortable. Generous patio for when it isn't super hot. Definitely a good value. The mid-century-esque Southwest vibe was great. Onsite bar and restaurant. Cons of the place were the room did not cool very well as the A/C unit was covered by very heavy drapes. While I had a quiet stay (no one on either side of me) - the walls were paper thin and the whole place shook when someone shut a door all the way down the hall.

Mini vacation in the sun

Would recommend Mon, Jul 20, 2015
I thought the hotel was really nice and so close the ASU. I was a nice walk to Mill Avenue but I like being out in the heat so it was not a big deal for me. There is a free hotel shuttle that will take you anywhere within a 3 mile radius and also pick you up/drop you at the airport. The room had a nice balcony and a chiller which was a plus. The one bedroom is small but clean and lots of storage space. I choose the garden view room which faces the homes in the back of the hotels yards. But they are nice with all kinds of trees which made it more private. Hotel staff was wonderful. Checked in early (noonish) and the clerk told me the rooms that were currently available and gave the option of checking them out first if I wanted to make my decision. Never had the option before and give it a bigs thumbs up. There is some renovation happening on the last 2 upper floors which you can hear during the day. I live in a condensed city so it didn't bother me at all since I am used to the noise. The diner next to the hotel is good. There is also a Campus Walmart (the size of a convenience store) a block and a half away with some other eateries. I was out during the day so this met my needs. Pretty quit in the evenings.
