Great Atmosohere

I was very surprised and pleased with this hotel. Stayed one night on my way to Cali. The college theme is awesome and the rooms are great. Comfy bed, nice bathroom and there funky furniture and college feel is absolutely great. Rooms have a small patio which is great to relax. We tried the bar at the hotel and it was GREAT! Our waitress was nice and very attentive. Drinks are reasonably priced and the food is awesome.

Great value - chic rooms

Great boutique hotel adjacent to ASU and not too far from Downtown Tempe. The room was very nice, clean, and comfortable. Generous patio for when it isn't super hot. Definitely a good value. The mid-century-esque Southwest vibe was great. Onsite bar and restaurant. Cons of the place were the room did not cool very well as the A/C unit was covered by very heavy drapes. While I had a quiet stay (no one on either side of me) - the walls were paper thin and the whole place shook when someone shut a door all the way down the hall.

Mini vacation in the sun

I thought the hotel was really nice and so close the ASU. I was a nice walk to Mill Avenue but I like being out in the heat so it was not a big deal for me. There is a free hotel shuttle that will take you anywhere within a 3 mile radius and also pick you up/drop you at the airport. The room had a nice balcony and a chiller which was a plus. The one bedroom is small but clean and lots of storage space. I choose the garden view room which faces the homes in the back of the hotels yards. But they are nice with all kinds of trees which made it more private. Hotel staff was wonderful. Checked in early (noonish) and the clerk told me the rooms that were currently available and gave the option of checking them out first if I wanted to make my decision. Never had the option before and give it a bigs thumbs up. There is some renovation happening on the last 2 upper floors which you can hear during the day. I live in a condensed city so it didn't bother me at all since I am used to the noise. The diner next to the hotel is good. There is also a Campus Walmart (the size of a convenience store) a block and a half away with some other eateries. I was out during the day so this met my needs. Pretty quit in the evenings.

College Orientation

I selected the hotel for price and location. My daughter and I wer both very pleased with the hotel. It is an old Howard Johnsons but has been remodeled into a fun and comfortable original hotel. I would stay there again anytime.

Just OK

My experience is just OK, there is very strong smell in the room maybe because it was renovated not long ago. I complained with the Front Lady and she tried to solve the problem and led me to other rooms, but I found out they were just similar. Finally I decided to turn on the air-conditioner and opened the door. Gradually, the air was getting better.

I know the hotel just opened. They need to get the kinks out. But the staff needs to be more experience not staffed by ASU.
