Clean & friendly
I was in Phoenix for a job interview. I called ahead and they gave me an early check-in, the room was very clean (I used to manage a Comfort Inn so this is always my #1 priority.) The staff were all very pleasant, the lobby was beautiful. Nothing missing. This was one of the best trips I have taken to Arizona.

Go to the Arizona Mills Outlet Mall just accross the main road (short walk or drive. Go early because it can get crowded.

Great place to stay except that we had to haul all of our stuff to the race cause our room wasn't ready at noon when we showed up. Trivial complaint, I agree, since everything else was great.

Major Angel Fan
Suited us just fine.
I chose this Best Western because of the price and location. We were in Tempe for Angels Spring Training Baseball and it's conveniently located to the stadium and tons of great restaurants. The neighborhood isn't the nicest but we didn't have to spend much time there. Love the convenience and comaraderie of the breakfast buffet. Nice to talk baseball with fellow fans as most people are there for Spring Training. The thin walls and noisy neighbors got irritating from 11 pm to 12:30 am. Could hear tons of muffled conversations from both sides of the room and made it difficult to get to sleep. It wasn't truly obnoxious or bad enough to complain to the manager, just people talking and watching TV, closing doors, running the water, etc. Front desk service was excellent and friendly. We'll probably stay here again here again.

Short drive from hotel
This hotel is right off the 10 Fwy to Phoenix or Tucson whichever direction you happen to be going (but I never heard any traffic sounds). It is just about 10-15 min. from Tempe Diablo Stadium and within 20-30 min. from Giants' Stadium in Scottsdale, Cubs Stadium in Mesa, Brewer's in Maryvale, Phoenix Muni Stadium, etc. Great location to catch numerous Spring Training games. Just south on the freeway (two exits) on Ray Rd. is an AMC Theatre Complex and one of my favorite restaurants, Romano's Macaroni Grill. Went to the movies there and ate at Romano's. Great food!!! Also, just a couple of blocks west on Baseline (right on the other side of the 10 Fwy.) is Aunt Chilada's Mexican Restaurant. Darling place and excellent food. It's a very popular choice in dining. Great atmosphere and decor.

It was fine - but less than expected
I was torn between a hotel in scottsdale for 42.00 a night that I had stayed at before and this one that was 75.00. I thought it would be nice to spend the extra money for a nicer hotel and close to a mall. The mall was not very nice and this hotel was not 33.00 a day nicer. I would never spend more than 75.00 a night on this hotel. I probably will not return.

nice stay, location friendly fun staff
Staff very friendly and courteous. Nice breakfast too. Easy to get a walk in around the AZ Mills Mall for exercise, or grab a bite to eat.
