BEST WESTERN Inn of Tempe

Great location,road construction kinda threw a loop in travel thank god for Garmin.Been staying here for about the last 4 years on Vacation...Spring Training

The hotel entrance is very hard to find the 1st time by. This is made worse by the fact that the hotel is only accessible from the southbound side of Scottsdale Rd. If you miss the turn, you have to make 2 U turns to try again. A taller sign would help. The breakfast was the usual American motel breakfast; weak coffee, watered down juice and mass-produced sweet rolls. There was cereal, bread to toast and packaged waffle-making material also. The room was a nice size and clean. Old-style TV w/basic cable and no premium movies. There is free wi-fi apparently throughout the hotel and a computer and printer available in the lobby, useful to print out boarding passes and such. The exercise room has 1 treadmill, 1 stepper, 1 bike and 1 multi-purpose Nautilus-type apparatus. No sanitizing spray to wipe down the machine after use. The swimming pool is 1 body-width wide and about 15' long. There is a hot tub. Overall, at this price point it is a reasonable deal.

We stayed there for the Insight Bowl. It was close to the stadium and within reasonable walking distance to the Mill Ave district. All in all it was a great time - especially since the Cyclones won!!

Denny's next door had poor service and food was not very good. Shady looking characters around hotel area.

Family weekend ASU

Hotel was very clean. Everyone was very friendly. Within walking distance to ASU, they will also shuttle you within a three mile radius.

This Best Western was awesome due to its location to Mills, the Street where all the bars are located. It was directly near it but you take a cab there very cheaply as well as the fact that they offered a shuttle to pick you up at the end of the night was a plus.

This is perfect for someone that has to travel for Business!

This Best Western Tempe was close to Tempe, ASU, and Scottsdale. I have had a difficult time finding affordable hotels in this area in which the doors to the rooms are inside the hotel, and not on the outside, where anyone can walk by. The Best Western Tempe was an enclosed building, where all guests must walk through the front lobby. This hotel was very nice and clean, and there was a nice table and chairs in the room where I could work.

The Best Western Inn of Tempe has decent rooms and facilities, but we had a problem during renovations that was unacceptable. The hotel had painting going on in the area we were staying, and we were awakened at 2AM by workmen removing wall paper in the room next door, on the wall next to our heads. The front desk clerk said he would speak to them about stopping, but they continued all night. On the fourth call, the desk clerk told us the workers refused to stop. We never had an employee apoligize until I pointed out that they were unable to say they were sorry for our experience. The other drawback of this hotel is that they have a Denny's next door. Although we thought that may be a benefit when we checked in, we were reminded what takes place at all night diners on the second night when an altercation began in the parking lot and ended with the police being called. Not the fault of the hotel, but nobody can sleep thru drunks screaming, honking horns and fighting outside your window, or the sirens that you get when the police show up.
