Savor Sedona here
Southwest Inn's special touches without pretense include gas fireplaces, comfy robes, flat screen TV, free Wifi, and a terrific breakfast with hot muesli to complement all the usuals. The pool is small but adequate, the staff is helpful, and the location excellent. My only complaint--scratchy towels--hardly diminishes my rave review. This is our favorite among the dozen motels we have used in the southwest US over the last 3 years.

Quite Nice
The Southwest Inn at Sedona was fine--I stayed in the Apache Suite and it was huge and very comfortable. The things that could've made this stay even better: Better (any) water pressure in the shower, a bigger pool area (hard to change that, I know)and a bigger workout room (one stairmaster, one bike, one treadmill in a room the size of a closet, which I think it must've been at one time). The views were stunning, and some of the rooms had really spacious decks. All in all, it was all fine for the price--I'd recommend it to anyone going to Sedona!

The Brewery at Oak Creek was incredible--we're STILL talking about the Fruit & Cheese tray we got there, and the delish beer.

Never again!
Not sure why this is Hotel is rated so highly. It isn't anything special and certainly not a "boutique" as described on their website. Tiny pool at the end of the parking lot, on a noisy road, with obstructed views. Rooms are just ok, though the bed was comfortable. The upside,Nice cozy king bed, great staff, especially [...] (the breakfast helper). Robes were a nice touch, though too stiff to wear. Mini fridge in room. Clean. The downside, if you have ANY issues at all, the owners do nothing. My husband was so ticked, he emailed them several times, and asked that they call twice. No call. I called the Hotel and [...] was great saying she would call the owners herself and ask them to call us. Mr [...] did and the end result was worse. Our issue was that we were overcharged (apart from having a clogged bathroom sink the entire stay) . We extended our stay an extra night as we loved Sedona, and wanted to do more things, and I specifically asked TWICE how much our total bill would be. I was quoted a price and then charged an extra $130 more when checking out. I was told this was the "pre-charge" made when I checked in and I should have known I was getting charged that.I explained to the owner I didn't and he was firm. I asked that they honor the price quoted to me, and he said no. I said ok, then you have an unhappy customer, he then said I was rude to his staff, (not true) and my husband had sent threatening emails, (not true), and blackmail (for posting any kind of negative review), was illegal in AZ. !! Seriously!!This person should not be in the hospitality business in my opinion, customer service is a number priority to me.We will never stay there again, there are many comparable hotels in better locations for less where the customer DOES matter. Shame, the staff were very nice. My review reflects the owners, awful to deal with.

Hotel was OK
A very basic hotel-nothing special. Not as clean as I would have wished. Found several spider webs and a couple of bugs between the sheets upon arrival. Front desk was accommodating and offered to give me a 15% discount and a new room. I changed my stay from two nights to one and moved to another hotel.

unbeatable location for the price
We chose this hotel for the location and the reasonable price, also includes a great continental breakfast. Desk clerks are most knowledgable and can answer most any question. We particularly liked the fact that the Pink Jeep tour will pick you up at the hotel---nice feature!
