Non-descript hotel
This is a glorified motel. The room was small and I paid for a premiere king room. I was told that my room was not really premiere and I'd have to pay an extra $20 for a room with a view. The hotel is on a major road and I didn't want to be near the traffic and overlook the parking lot. It was fine, but clearly not worth the price we paid. Next time, I would stay somewhere else.

The best is the food
The hotel is clean, the food is great. However, staff is not well prepared. Some people in reception are too young and have no interest in being too helpful. I hope for next time the hotel hire people with more experience & a better customer service training.

Good resort
The staff was great and helpful. The rooms was clean and comfortable. It would be a 5-star if the toilet was not always running ... yes, it did not stop flowing so a little noisy. However, for the high price you pay, you get a good comfortable bed, nice facility, and good staff.

Each evening coming back to a hotel that sur-passed our expectations. We slept so soundly that it was difficult to get out of bed in the morning. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet. The staff was wonderful in every way and couldn't have been any better. The rain shower was a pleasant surprise and we loved it!Sedona Rouge is a great place in a perfect location.

Wonderful hotel and staff
The Sedona Rouge is a wonderful hotel. The staff are great, it is amazingly quiet and serene. The pool and spa areas were very relaxing and the grounds are immaculate. I felt the pricing was very fair for such a nice hotel. This was my first trip to the Sedona area and I will certainly go back and stay at this hotel again. My wife and I are already planning for it.

Nice Hotel
Room was great. Hotel was great except the concierge was about 20 years old so did not have much knowledge of restaurants in the area. We went to Sedona for my birthday to get away for a few days. The nightlife ends at 9:00 even on the 4th of July.

Comfortable Stay
The staff was very helpful. The room was clean. The AC/fan was a bit noisy. The restaurant/breakfast was great. We were making our first visit to Sedona and the accommodations were suitable for that purpose.

A week of relaxation
The Sedona Rouge is a great destinatio to relax at. We stayed for a week and came away very satisfied. The staff is excellent and always available. The room was very comfortable, clean and did a full turn-down each evening. The restarant on site is called Reds and is quite good with a solid menu and superb service. Their fish specials can be awesome. It is very competitive for morning breakfast compared to any surrounding locations. The pool area is comfortable but has limited seating when the hotel gets full. Go early and get a great lounge for two! Don't miss the deck on the third floor of the hotel. We took our own wine up in the evening as did many others and watched the sunset and evening stars. There is a delightful fire-pit to take care of the evening chill. We did not use the spa this trip but my wife has in the past and enjoyed the services. The only reason this is not a five star review is first, the red rock views are very limited and second the clothing storage in the rooms is three medium size drawers. The drawer situation was an issue since we stayed for a week. The room was a first floor unit with perhaps a 5% view of Thunder Mountain. [...]All in all, a really good location to stay at in Sedona.

Great times
My husband and I stayed at Sedona Rouge for a week as our getaway this year. We enjoyed the local hiking, shopping, and wineries. The hotel is in a good location as it is not in uptown (congested), however it might have been nice to be a little off of the main road. It was convenient though to have the grocery store right next door to get water, starbucks, and other misc items. The room was really clean and the bed was very comfortable. I would say service was either really great, or not so great at times. Housekeeping cleans up your room twice a day, which one of those is the turn down service and we're not sure if one day was just an odd day for them because we didn't get clean glasses or towels. Same for the restaurant. Overall excellent food and an awesome breakfast (try to the cornflake crusted french toast!), however service was either really good or really bad and have had to wait a while to be asked if we needed anything to drink which is just annoying. I think on the weekend the hotel gets crowded and they may just get too busy? We did go to the spa which was small, but nice. Check out their services before hand as some were a little too "new agey" for us.

Try to map out your hikes out ahead of time since there are a TON in the area. The vortex locations tend to get crowded, especially on the weekends and there is no parking unless you can MAYBE find it on the streets. We enjoyed the non-vortex hikes (Devil's Bridge, Soldiers Pass (to the arches), and West Fork (in the canyon).

We went to Sedona for sightseeing. The hotel staff was extremely helpful, the location was excellent and the facilities were great. The only negative - we ate at Reds, the hotel restaurant, one evening. while the food was good service was very slow.

Would not repeat my visit to the Italian restaurant across the street. Overpriced by comparison. Too many other wonderful restaurants in the area with much better prices for similar quality.
