Relaxed and Rejuvinated

Traveled from Oregon in April for some Arizona sunshine, and though not familiar with the area, was very pleased to have chosen Oak Creek Terrace. The staff was friendly and helpful, rates reasonable, and we absolutely loved the layout of the resort. Oak Creek nearby, surrounded by canyon walls, and the peacefulness of the coi pond were fantastic. We were there without a car, but was able to taxi to Sendona for less than twenty dollars; negatively, that driver FORGOT to pick us up for our shuttle connection to Phoenix Airport, but we were able to connect with another taxi, and did make our flight. So maybe not Bob's if you need transport. We plan to go again, and to rent a cabin closer to the creek. It is so beautiful there, I would highly recommend a stay.

Beautiful Weekend on Oak Creek

The hotel is situated in the canyon right on Oak Creek. The grounds are beautiful and the room was very nicely decorated. There was a path down to the creek where there were lounge chairs and hammocks so you could relax and listen to the water rush by. The atmosphere was serene and relaxing. There is no food on the property, but there is a Dairy Queen right across the street. We are looking forward to going back again.

You get what you pay for

I seen that the hotel is right on the creek and was looking forward to being able to hear the water in the evening. However, there are several different rooms available. When you pay for the cheaper rooms you get farther from the creek and thus not able to hear the water. It was great for a quick one night stay. I would suggest if you plan on doing a cookout and seeing the sights, spend the money and get the larger room.

It was nice but to much of hasle

We been moved 3 times since the day we checked in. Manager was not even there to deal with the problem. First checked was not fine coz place is not close to the creek as what requested so we were to other room, after 4hours the front told us they we need to move theirs only ready people checked in to the room, so we packed our thigns & moved again, then after 30minutes a women showed in the room asking what we are doing their find that room was taken too. TOo much of hasle like the place but ddn't enjoyed the way thry treat us. That was our first time in the place we liked it but it was nightmare for us to moved 3 times....

Out of Town Location

Oak Creek Terrace Resort is about five miles up Oak Creek canyon from Sedona. The room was very small to begin with and was made smaller by a 6' X 6' Jacuzzi in one corner of the room. There was very little space to hang clothes and no suitcase stands in the room. The bathroom was about as small as it could get, with a sink, shower and commode leaving barely room for one person to stand in front of the sink. The bed was comfortable, but other than nightstands, there were no tables or chairs in the room. There was no access to food in the immediate area other than a Dairy Queen across the road. The parking area in front of the group of rooms was small, barely leaving space for one vehicle per room. The room had a fireplace in addition to the jacuzzi, apparently put there to justify a higher cost for the room. There was a fish pond near the parking area and an outdoor terrace to the rear of the fish pond. If I were to make a return trip to Sedona, I would find another place to stay
