Amazing place!

I loved staying here and would reccomend it to anyone! Staff was friendly and helpful and even gave us discounts for their resteraunt and spa complimentary for being a guest. Fantastic location. Very spacious rooms and beautiful grounds. I would only reccomend the company to invest on better TVs, there was a very outdated TV in our room. They definately have a lot to offer and exceeded my expectations! Can't wait to return.

Nice Resort, but too much pressure

I enjoyed the resort and the location was great. Our room was a studio and it was clean and nicely decorated, although a bit small. What I didn't like was the high pressure sales pitches to get you to attend a showing and sales presentation about their real estate properties. In no way were we interested in buying any kind of vacation or other property or time share, we already own a summer home and so our replies to their questions were firm - but they persisted. Our time was short enough for this stay and yet we received two hard sells during our three days of vacation time, once when we registered and a second time when we innocently asked directions at the information booth. We didn't appreciate being grilled as to what time we had free and their attemp to lock us into a commitment to attend a presentation.

Good Family Hotel

The hotel is central located in Sedona. Fitness center was fantastic. Only compliant is that the resort and rooms are dated and need some work.

Still a Nice Family Getaway, but not suited for the non-ambulatory.

One thing that has never been updated at Los Abrigados, is the lack of handicap access to the main office/lobby, and to many other areas of the resort. My elderly father-in-law, who has a great deal of difficulty, still had to climb the 4 steps to register. Then when we checked-in, we found that not one ground floor non-stair climbing room had been reserved for him, even though I requested it on the reservation. The same is true of our 2nd floor suite for my 81 year old parents. Fortunately, my parents are a little better at climbing.

GREAT HOTEL IN TERRIFIC LOCATION

GREAT ROOM IN AN EXCELLANT LOCATION CLOSE TO DOWNTOWN. BEAUTIFUL GROUNDS & NICE STAFF. TOOK A FEW MINUTES TO GET WAITED ON AT DESK WHILE 3 STAFF MEMBERS TALKED TO ANOTHER STAFFER & THEN TOOK CUSTOMERS OUT OF ORDER. STILL, OVERALL VISIT WAS EXCELLANT. ALSO HAS GREAT RESTAURANT ATTACHED TO HOTEL. WILL DEFINITELY RETURN HERE ON NEXT VISIT TO SEDONA.

Great time!

We got a free room upgrade just by talking to the front desk, and the concierge was able to recommend great restaurants which she always had coupons for.

Visit too short

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room however had its' shortfalls. You could hear water running in rooms next to us and above us. The Plumbing noise was worse than a cheap to average motel. The coffee maker needing cleaning. The sleeper sofa in the sitting room was very uncomfortable. The 2 TV's were older models. You would have expected to get flat screen TV's in an upscale hotel resort. The channel selection was limited to basic cable with no premium channels. The bed was very comfortable, and the room in general seemed to be clean. The kitchenette was a nice feature too. This resort is within walking distance of the main street shopettes, and is only a few miles from Highway 89A shops and rock formation destinations on the outskirts of town.

See Cathedral Rock and Devil's Bridge. Both are short hikes, but can be a little slick if wet or snowy.

Difficult and lacking in customer service

I expected a higher degree of customer service and assistance. l arrived late at night after traveling the roads for several hours and was given the wrong room: one king size bed, after confirming two double beds on two separate occasions. The staff operating the front desk was unhelpful. I was told there was nothing they could do and that notes would put in the file to be addressed the following morning. The following morning, new staff, no notes and no assistance offered again: simply told nothing they can do, come back later that afternoon. I was told notes would be put in the file again. Simultaneously a daughter was trying to resolve a handicap accessible room that was booked and confirmed for her mother. They were told the same thing, nothing they could do the hotel is often over booked. Later that afternoon I went to the front desk, new staff again and no notes in the file. This time the issue was resolved. The electrical outlets did not work in many rooms. The shower was not strong. There were no menus in the room for any of the restaurants that provided room service. The hotel did offer great security and was decorated beautifully for Christmas. Room service was fast. The hotel was centrally located and it was very easy to access popular spots.
