Amazing location but average hotel

This hotel definitely seems to be a budget hotel but priced much higher. The other guests were a little strange. Their gym is really nice. The breakfast was very average - no eggs, some bread, juices, coffee, hot chocolate, muffins, apples, and a few things I'm forgetting. The woman in the breakfast room was also nonchalant and didn't really care about anybody. It's not really worth the money, but the location is really nice. Just outside and within a short driving distance, you see the beautiful Sedona rock formations. That was the only thing good about this place.

Good value and good location

A great place for an impromptu night in Sedona. The Oak Creek location is close enough to everything you need but cheaper price tag than staying in Sedona. Also, good to know for the future - they allow pets. Laminate floors in the rooms make it a great fit for a pet (although makes it a little noisier in the room)

La Quinta Sedona

The receptionist was the best thing about the stay. She was friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The bed was horrible, the hot tub tepid, and the breakfast insipid.

We had a comfortable stay, staff very friendly and helpful!!

It was close to Sedona but much more affordable. It was clean, had a good breakfast but there was not room for us to sit in the dinning room. We had to sit outside, poolside , and it was a bit chilly!

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

It's a more affordable overnight stay and is comfortable , just did not like that the doors could allow you to see into the room next to you, because they did not go all the way to the floor!!!

Good simple lodging

Staying here is good value for your money. Nothing spectacular but I'm not spending tons of time awake in the room. It's not in walking distance to the touristy stuff but it's on the main highway, and relatively very close to hiking trails and vistas. They have a small pool and hot tub with towels, and they have a breakfast bar. The hotel seems to cater to mostly older clientele based on all the accessibility equipment in the rooms. They are pretty strict about certain things in regards to pets (like barking understandably). They do have a clean and simple area for pet breaks and clean up. They do make you sign a sheet stating that if your dog is found to be barking that they can (and do) charge for what they define as excessive barking.

Adequate rooms with a free breakfast bonus

We rented two rooms since we had our adult kids with us. Check in was a breeze and parking plentiful. We used the small hot tub which was very nice after a long hike! Very comfortable beds and adequate rooms with free internet.. Good location right on the main drag of Oak Creek Canyon (near Bell Rock:) I thought the free breakfast was a nice touch and the coffee was good. Check out at noon worked well for our son who likes to sleep in. The halls and decor appear a little tired but the price was right.

Horrible hotel almost ruined the last leg of my vacation

In one word...horrible. If I could give "staff" a zero I would have. Suzanne, probably the owner of the hotel has no business being in the hospitality business treating patrons as she did me. We arrived about an hour early, and I told her we were early. Her rude response "we don't have any rooms ready". Fine I understood that. But when I asked if we could have a room with a view of the red rock mountain she said "we only put dog owners on the first floor". Ok fine again. She then pushed paperwork at me with no instructions. I asked what she wanted me to do and she said "read the dog policy". I then read AND initialed the form and she pushed another piece of paper at me. I finally asked her what problem she was having with me and she lit into me telling me I was demanding a room view and I was early. Absolutely no customer service skills! I did attempt to cancel our reservations but there was a no refund policy. My plan is to contact The hotel corporate office and fill them in on how she treated me. You are giving me a $50 voucher to be used in the future, but I have No vacation time left and No plans to take a vacation in the next 12 months.

Not up to La Qunta standards

Worst hotel in this chain I have stayed at. At check-in the receptionist in training made a little error and the manager sarcastically made everyone in the reception area aware of her mistake - how not to be a manager! No hot water in the evening to get ready for dinner, response was 'oh just wait 30 minutes and it will heat up' Staff very lacking in service skills, lobby didn't answer phone, reason given 'I was outside' At check-out we suggested to the receptionist that our room rate should be ammended considering the hot water issue, however the lady was not interested in apologies or making any considerations, and even said she couldn't do anything because we did not book direct through the hotel. Level of service depends on booking source?? Overall a very disappointing stay in Sedona. However the next night we stayed at same hotel chain in Flagstaff and had a lovely stay with excellent staff.

Beautiful location

Stepping outside the hotel, you're greeted with amazing views of incredible rock formations. The location really couldn't be any better. The free breakfast was pretty good and I appreciated that they have coin laundry available to guests. Another bonus: hardwood floor in the room. Have never seen that in a hotel before.

Famous Pizza and Beer, in the strip mall right next to the La Quinta, doesn't look like much from the outside (or the inside, frankly) but its pizza is great and craft beer selection is impressive.
