Picturesque Retreat

We booked a two bedroom apartment, and the size and roominess of the place easily exceeded our expectations. The loft was a pleasant surprise, and our kids loved it. The resort is located about ten miles from uptown Sedona, in the middle of beautiful Oak Creek Canyon. The adjacent restaurant was convenient, and the staff was pleasant.

a nice place to stay

We had a wonderful time at Junipine Resort. Room was very nice. I think that although room temperature stays reasonable for AZ, the rooms still need Air Conditioning. Also the Resort needs more places for smokers. had to walk to only one designated spot on the property. Still overall a very nice Resort and we had the time of our lives in Sedona

The best meal we had in Sedona was the Silver Saddle in town. Do not recommend Junipine café. Although the food is good it is not exceptional enough to justify the prices.

Picture Perfect

The hotel is in the midst of the most lush pines and streams around. It is magical. the staff were beyond helpful--friendly w/o being obsequious. Small restaurant on site was very good, and had a little bit of everything. Our room was just remodeled and so was pristine--but! did not have a TV guide, or instructions on the coffee machine or room service menu--all things overlooked on a new room I suppose. A little off putting, but not really an issue. i will stay again--it is out of the crush of Sedona--abt 10-12 min-- which for me, was important. I loved it.

Great Vacation Getaway

We wanted a place outside of Sedona, and time to just enjoy nature, and have a quiet getaway. The place is perfect for this, and they also helped us with getting a place that was handicapped accessible for our elderly parents, which was also very much appreciated.

What a gem!

We had a wonderful stay at Junipine Resort. Beautiful location, rooms are very clean, specious. We stay on the creek side which wonderful to look out the patios door and see such a view. Having a fireplace was so relaxing. We booked our reservation only for one night due to we where driving thru Sedona. I wished we could of stayed for a week. Breakfast was fantastic and large portions. I would recommend staying at Junipine Resort.

October 2012 Sedona Getaway

Nestled between the forest and oak creek, the location is fabulous! Our unit had a large deck which was perfect for relaxing and entertaining. Most of the Junipine units are individually owned, so I'm sure each has a different level of cleanliness and ambiance. The unit we stayed in was clean, however, the carpet was noticeably worn enough that I would not want my kids playing on the ground. Junipine is about a 10 minute drive away from the heart of Sedona. Note that this property does not have a pool or gym facility, however, you can catch a trailhead right next to the property and enjoy miles of hiking!

pictures inaccurate

The Junipine is set in the beautiful Oak Creek Canyon. The room on the web site is not what we got. All the condos are individually owned and decorated as such. #12 was our room. It was dated and full of over a dozen flies. The cabinetry and fixtures were 1970's.Although very clean, I could not get comfortable in the bed. We decided to check out after 4 hours. The service desk was helpful. She offered us another room, #7. What a huge difference. This condo was perfect with a sleep number bed and no flies. All the fireplaces had had custom mantles of deer and even a mountain lion carved into the framework. It was truly lovely. The sound of the creek can be heard everywhere and adds to the tranquility. The cafe on the property is quaint and reasonably priced. They also offer room service. The hiking trails are easy to walk and are marked.

Ask for an updated condo at check in. I overheard many people call ahead and request certain units. #7 could not have been nicer.
