Nice amenities

The pool and hot tubs were very nice. The location is great and walkable to many stores. The hotel described the room as sleeping four, but it could only sleep three adults comfortably in my opinion.

Great family hotel & great value!

The sunset viewed from the pool & hot tube area was terrific. The staff were very friendly and helpful (scheduled some of the last places on the Pink Jeep tour - loved by the whole family). They had a free exhibit in the evening of a native american flute player - Wolf Robe. Again, very much enjoyed by the family. The 1 bedroom condo was large and comfortably accomodated all of us.

"Great location, beautiful views"

The Hyatt Pinon resort was in a great location to explore Sedona. All of the major shopping areas were nearby and walking distance. The pool and jacuzzi were relaxing escapes from long days of walking and sightseeing. The rooms were clean, but not spotless. There were stains on the couch cushion and carpet. Our bed was made each day of our four night stay, but the linen was never changed. Even though their website generically states that a DVD player is one of their accomodations, their isn't one available for suites. Never-the-less, they accomodated us with a portable one after we called and requested it. There was no additional charge.

Shopping tip: Not Applicable

Sedona is pretty much a tourist mecca. There main sale items are clothing, jewelery and art. After a long day of shopping, we came to realize that we could have stopped in one store and got all we needed without dragging ourselves through every other store. Never-the-less, it was still fun to roam around the town.

a comfortable resort.

The staff tried a bit too hard to make sure we were having a good time. The person who checked me in wanted to describe every positive feature of the resort and explain every part to the pamphlets that she was giving me. While it was nice to hear that there was a yoga session at the fitness center in the morning, sleeping in seemed to appeal to me more. It seems that they designed the beds for those who liked to wake at 7am because they were stiff and a bit harsh, making any bit of early morning movement result in one's being woken up from the unforgiving nature of the mattress. The mini-kitchen was quite nice, and allowed for easy re-heating and eating of our left-over indian food (from the quite good indian palace off coffee pot drive). Included plates, utensil, and dish cleaning items were well welcomed. The strange knocking noise from the refrigerator was not so welcome, so when there was nothing within the refrigerator we unplugged it. Our room included a balcony (as I assume all their second floor units do). Our had a view of the beautiful red rocks, some of them have interior views of the tiny hill where the pool and activity center reside. Sitting on the balcony watching the stars (you can see the MILKY WAY because of the good light restrictions there) was nice. Surfing the internet while sipping the complimentary coffee on the balcony the next morning was equally relaxing and enjoyable. note: our unit had a screen door you could use instead of the sliding glass one. we didn't realize there was a gap in the door, so when we closed it at night and left a light on while watching a movie hundreds of gnats appeared... a bit of a nuisance.

the shops at Pinon Pointe (part of the resort complex), have a fairly cheap and nice breakfast place (it has other meals, but we only experienced their breakfast). the wildflower bakery, it may be a chain, I'm not entirely sure, but it's rather good, and affordable.

Great Hotel..Great Location

Hotel was a easy check-in. We checked in at night and found our self struggling to see the numbers on the rooms. Also, there is no assigned parking so we had to park a little far from the room and walk down very poor lite walkways. Overall the room was very nice and you can not beat the location!

Be sure to mention you are staying at the Hyatt at the stores attached to the Hyatt. We found that many of them will give you a %10 discount.
