Great deal in an ideal location

We live in Scottsdale but needed a place to stay during the renovation of our home. We had stayed at this resort when it was Scottsdale Resorts and liked it so when we found it at such a great price we decided to stay here again, now called Xona Resorts. We like the fitness center and the pools were great. They had a nice happy hour and everyone at the resort was very friendly and helpful.

Arizona weekend

Upon arriving at the hotel after a late flight we were hungry & looking for room service, however the bar/restaurant had closed and there was no room service available. The rooms were in seperate blocks and with no identification on the buildings they all looked the same. After the fourth day we still could not get our bearings enough to find our way around. It was like walking in a maze. We did enjoy using the pool and the proximity to shopping & dining was great.

Wonderful place, we will be back

We had a wonderful experience all the way through our stay. Every single employee that we met was friendly and went out of their way to make our stay a great one. After looking at some postings regarding this resort, I was a bit worried, but it was great for us. There is a full kitchen with utensils, some cook ware, some knives, silverware, a corkscrew, wine glasses, soda glasses, juice glasses, plates, bowls, small plates, a coffee machine, microwave, refrigerator, oven/stove, dishwasher and even a blender. I brought a large pot with me which turned out to be useful and wished I had brought a frying pan. I didn't ask the front desk, they might have had that available. The king bed was super comfortable, the living room had a pull out sofa bed, so there was room for 4 in the one bedroom suite. The furnishings were top notch, although the bathroom and kitchen could use an upgrade to make this a luxurious resort. The pools were great, the bar and restaurant were very nice, the grounds are kept up well and are also very nice, parking was convenient. There are restaurants, shopping, grocery store, movie theater all very close, & the location is very close to the freeway making it very convenient. We stayed for a long weekend and really enjoyed the resort. We will definitely be back next year!

Not great...

Xona advertises 3 pools which was a real draw. However when we arrived the pools were reserved for parties one of which was allowed to play loud music until midnight. The staff was not very friendly. It was almost a bother to them if you had a question.

A really great place to stay

The Xona Resort offered us a very nice place to stay while relaxing in the desert sun. The staff was very friendly and the pools, restaurant, and lounge are were kept very clean. The front desk staff was helpful with all the questions we had. I hope to stay here again.

Xona Resort.

4 pools on sight.....small but nice. Had pool bar capabilities on-site but never staffed. Pool service (drinks/food) was EXTREMELY SLOW! Very clean resort, staff was helpful and friendly. Signs were posted to NOT bring food/drinks of our own in to pools but everyone did so that was nice feature....especially since service at pool was terrible. Good location...plenty of restaurants w/in 5 miles.

Tucked Away

Good access to various malls and to downtown Scottsdale. Food is very bland. I would have liked to have slept late, however, the cleaning carts made a loud noise when deployed early in the morning. Staff was professional and courteous. Room was very small. For two people to traverse the room without bumping into each other was impossible.

Good, if only sleeping there.

My stay was for 6 days. Plendy of space. The resort had supposedly gone thru a rennovation; not updated enough for me. The pool & hot tub were lovely. Rooms semi-insullated from noise. Towels were OLD with stains & treads hanging. Housekeeping very responsive to help.

Isolated but Reasonably Nice

A more proactive approach to offering information on activities would have made the stay more enjoyable. The on-site restaurant needs some work on both the quality of the food and the service. We were in a bottom-floor room and were frequently disturbed by the sound of suitcases thumping up and down the stairs (exterior concrete & metal, which echoed loudly). The last two days were marred by some very unruly children upstairs. Designating certain buildings for families with children might help.
