Location, facility and staff were great.

Loved having a full kitchen so we could cook our own breakfasts. It was on the edge of Scottsdale, but there was a lot of development near by. Lots of restraunts and golf courses and hiking nearby. Staff was awesome, always very helpful.

Clean but small rooms. ...

Clean but small rooms. This property has four pools, but beware - they rent them out for parties and will kick YOU out!! ?Wait a minute? I paid to stay at this resort where the only amenity IS the pool and they rented it out to some local group? Hmmm........

FRIENDLY WARM

SLIGHTLY DATED BUT FUN HOTEL. NEEDS MORE OF A DINING FACILITY ON SITE BUT CLOSE TO RAPIDLY EXPANDING SCOTTSDALE MALLS. NICE FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS. RELATIVE GOOD VALUE FOR THE MONEY.

Good, but a bit out of the way

The Resort Suites of Scottsdale is located on the outskirts of Scottsdale, so is not exactly convenient to the shopping areas and attractions. The business center and health club area are adeqaute - in both cases slightly under appointed so that in busy times there are likley to be wait times for the use of machines. The restaurant was disappointing; mediocre food, much too hightly priced, and slow, indifferent service. And $2.40 for a cup of coffee in the morning seemed like they were trying to squeeze every penny out of you in a slow week; a complimentery urn of coffee would go a long way - often it's the little things that impress people. Having said all that, the front desk people are very polite and accommodating, and the overall value is basically good. They call themselves a golf resort and this seems to be a good place to go where dad can off off for 18 holes and the family can hang around the pools, which look fine. If you don't care about having interior corridors, it's worth a try.

Great value

The Resort Suites of Scottsdale is in an extremely convenient location and is much less expensive than neighboring properties including the Fairmont Princess. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Good value for off-season in Phoenix

Hotel was very nice-staff was pleasant. Food in restaurant was good but very very expensive. Pool was great and fitness center was well appointed. Housekeeping was a little slow to clean room and didn't bring us fresh glasses the second night.

Pleasant Hotel

The location was close to many places and restaurants in Scottsdale. Hotel maintenance was very responsive when we complained that the tub/shower was not draining the water quickly but seemed to back up. When we got back to the room later in the evening, it was fixed and draining quickly. The room is pretty small but like the fact that the vanity is outside of the bathroom. The business center has computers that are availaable for use free of charge. Very nice to be able to access your email, internet, etc. However, we did not use computers. The only dissapointment was a resort fee that we were charged (about $10) for each day. However, we got charged this additional resort fee which we didn't like paying since we did not use any of their amenities like pool, fitness center, etc.

Talisen designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. There is a tour and very interesting to see how he designed the environment into his buildings using natural resources of the area.
