The Saguaro experience begins, fittingly enough, outside amid the arid weather and brilliant sunlight of the Sonoran Desert. Each room exterior is accented by the color of a native desert flower, creating a visual spectrum throughout the resort grounds. Inside, your room's primary color is joined by contemporary and natural furnishings in wood and leather, including hand-crafted pieces imported from Mexico. A stay here is about relaxation, nature and yes, our two famous pools. Both are easy walks from every room, heated and ringed by cabanas. The Saguaro Spa welcomes you to de-stress you even further. When it's time to recharge, the comprehensive fitness center will get you looking your best for around the poolside bar.
The hotel features an onsite Jose Garces signature Restaurant, Food Network's 2010 The Next Iron Chef winner. Distrito, a modern Mexican restaurant and bar features the wonderfully diverse street food of Mexico City, known in that country as the Distrito Federal and Mexican Barbacoa, or barbecue. Distrito will also offer guests over 100 varieties of tequila and an exciting array of drinks. Enjoy a playful and relaxed dining experience offering a taste of modern Mexican street food alongside a dazzling array of mouthwatering fresh fruit margaritas and cold craft beers on an our outdoor patio with views of the amazing Arizona sunset. Also enjoy Saguaro's lounge Old Town Whiskey, a bar evocative of frontier drink parlors of old, Old Town Whiskey offers a collection of domestic spirits and artfully crafted cocktails alongside classic American dishes. In the morning stop by for a cup of joe from the Garces Trading Company, serving Chef Garces' custom-roasted GTC coffees and house baked goods.
A resort fee of $19 per day does apply and will be collected/charged by the hotel at check-in.
Resort Fee inclusions:
Complimentary access to our state of the art fitness center, Complimentary Daily newspaper offered in the hotel lobby, Complimentary use of Saguaro Bicycles, Free Wi-Fi, Free local telephone calls and 800 calls, Complimentary valet and self-parking, Complimentary in room coffee.

- If Scottsdale is where the old west found its modern groove, the Saguaro sits at the main intersection. We're next to Old Town, the historic quarter where cowboys meet the cutting edge. The resort overlooks not only hitching posts and saloons but the Civic Center Mall, a 21-acre urban park home to the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art (SMoCA) and the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts. Weekend in Scottsdale
We stayed at this hotel on a recent weekend to Scottsdale. We really enjoyed the location. You can walk very easily to Old Scottsdale and access a ton of bars, shops and restaurants. I didn't love the interior of the rooms. It felt like a cheaper Aloft.

Exceeded Expectations - Wow
The most colorful (literally) hotel you'll ever see - fantastic redesign. It's a hip place, but even if you're not that hip, you will feel like you fit in. Nice people, warm atmosphere. Cannot emphasize how great the access is to old town - you literally walk out through the restaurant and you are in a pedestrian area of Scottsdale old town, directly on the street with numerous art galleries. In house restaurant, Distreo, also great for lunch or dinner. Spanish/Mexican tapas.

Perfect Location for Party
The room and hotel facility had a modern feel. The staff were all great and accommodating. Beds were comfortable. Wish we were able to use the pool, but it looked very inviting. Only stayed for one night for Ghost Ball but will definitely consider The Saguaro for other occasions.

Great location for Old Town
Buildings and rooms done in bold, bright colors. Staff very friendly. Valets especially helpful. Room was very nice. Only complaint was that the A/C is noisy and made sleep challenging. Would be great for spring training as Scottsdale Stadium is within walking distance. Old Town is near enough to walk to, but probably not recommended in extreme heat.

Short drive from hotel
I enjoyed Wine & 5th (a bit further up from Old Town) in the 5th Avenue district, a great wine bar with good food and often live music. Happy hour wine for $5, which appears to include everything on their list. Have been there several times before on previous trips and always enjoyed it. Friendly staff and customers.

A Unique Place to Stay.
The Saguaro is a unique, fun hotel just steps away from Old Town Scottsdale. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. They also have two fun pool areas. However, the 'adult' pool seemed very secluded and for some reason it didn't seem like it was staffed with food or drinks like the main pool. Also, the main pool has a great set up with funky, comfortable chairs and cabanas. It if unfortunate that the service at the pool closed so early, or never opened at all if there were not enough people. It would have been nice to enjoy dinner and drinks by the pool. I would recommend the Saguaro to stay in a unique place while in Scottsdale but if you are looking to vacation at a resort with round-the-clock room service room and pool service, I would stay elsewhere.

What a Surprise
The information and the photos looked promising when we made the reservations. When we arrived, saw the room, swam at the pool, enjoyed room service and experienced the facilities - we were so pleased. Elegant contemporary design, plush beds and pillows. Classy little touches like quality soaps and robes. We have already told several family members about the hotel and look forward to returning again soon.

Great location, but......
Great location close to major cross roads and old town Scottsdale. The rooms were just recently renovated and they didn't do a very good job. Pool was nice and so was bar and lobby. Price was too much for the room it wasn't a four star, but had a great location.
