Great get-away Week-end

Grounds, pool, hotel are beautiful. Service is superb and attentive without hovering. Concierge staff is excellent from arranging reservations in and out of hotel to recommending hikes--very accommodating and personalble.

Excellent, centrally located hotel

A great experience from beginning to end. Very friendly service and staff. Amenities are super. In the areas where the rooms are, it is quiet and restful. I especially like the little seating areas sprinkled about where one can have a private conversation--I even conducted a one hour business meeting in one such area. The health club is more than adequate We enjoyed just walking about the property as the grounds are well landscaped and nicely laid out. Used the Business Center and that was an excellent experience. Needed something printed from my laptop and that was easily done.

Good service

Excellent service. The hotel should inform residents that the valet parking is $26 per day. The J&G restaurant experience was not good

First Class Getaway

We spent June 25th to July 4th,2009 at the hotel. It was 1st class all the way from the moment we checked in. When we arrived, they upgraded our room and moved us to the Casitas, where we had one of the most beautiful view of Camelback mountain. The room was beautiful and spotless. We would have our breakfast every morning on the balcony.Room service was impeccable every day. The pools, the grounds, etc. were 1st class. Service at the pool was amazing, our pitchers of water were replenished constantly and the staff was always friendly. The Phoenician is perfectly located if you want to shop and dine. We travel at least 2-3 times a year, and with no doubt this is one of the most beautiful places we've stayed at. The one negative to this hotel is that if you wanted to use the Fitness Center you had to pay a daily fee. We absolutely recommend this hotel. We had an amazing stay from beginning to end!!

Not Worth the Money

Over the years, this hotel has always been touted as the place to stay in Phoenix/Scottsdale. I had great expectations that were not fulfilled. Service was inconsistent. Room faced the pool - the pool has metal gates at the entrances - you could hear the gates slam shut all day and all night. Room doesn't have a coffee maker - so either you pay $15 to room service for a pot of coffee or you get dressed and go to the Ice Cream Parlor for coffee.
