Very difficult to work with...

I booked 4 rooms for 2 nights... Also had 16 girls at the spa, booked a private space at the club & 22 people at the casino 2 separate nights. For all of the money spent, they were the least organized & most difficult hotel I have ever worked with. Every single thing was a different person, almost always unavailable... I stopped by & called twice just to get us on the same floor, then when people checked in it was another hassle. The club director rarely calls back within a day & is never available to meet with you. The spa is nice & the manager there is lovely and worked with us to get so many people in at once... Sadly however, as a hotel, highly difficult & inefficient. No option for dealing with just one person & if you book thru An internet travel site, expect to be treated as if you stole the room from them. Eventually after at least 5 different conversations arrangements were adjusted... Just frustrating to spend soooo much money there & have it be such a hassle. The actual hotel rooms are very nice & clean. The drinks are $$, and even if you're gambling, you must buy your beverages... Valet guys are great.

Great getaway!

This was a great getaway! Peaceful, restful and friendly staff! The real downfall was that the casino was extremely smoky and stuffy. Maybe the ventilation system could be improved. The spa was beautiful but the pedicure services were just mediocre. Also, normally when I go to a spa, I like providing my own gratuity. Not one that is standard.

Did not feel like a "resort"

I did not feel like I was at a resort at any point in time. The hotel was very nice, that is true, with nice clean rooms and bathrooms. The hotel and restaurant staff were courteous at all times. My dislikes: - Drunk people in the hallway at all times of the day and night. - An alcohol-fueled party at the pool every Saturday and sunday, which sounds fun if you are going there for drinking and more drinking. But if your goal is to stay at the resort for other reasons, this sucks, as you can't have a relaxing afternoon at the pool. - Needs mor restaurant options, the ones there get packed, and you'd have to get in the car to get to the nearest restaurants. - The temporary nigtclub on the bottom floor is a lawsuit waiting to happen with cables running everywhere, non-permanent structures you lean on and the fall on you. And it's bright! No ambiance at all. - The room bathrooms need more hooks to hang your towels. If there ais more than one person in the room, where do they hang their towels if we want to be "ecological"?

Nightlife tip: In Hotel

Unless you are going there for gambling or a show, don't expect any exciting night life. I do hear they have a shuttle to get to Scottsdale though. Not sure.

Talking Stick

Pros: Staff was polite, room was clean Cons: About every 20 -30 mins a high pitched sustained beep would go off for about 10 -15 seconds. Walls are too thin and you can hear the loud drunk folks in the surrounding rooms. Buffet - well all I can say is never eat seafood in a land locked state. Hallways leading to rooms are not very clean and most of the guests behaved as if the hotel was a dorm room on spring break in the wing of the hotel I was in.

Girls weekend!

Our stay at Talking Stick was very enjoyable. The only drawback is that you have to walk through the casino to get to the hotel or the parking areas. The weekend pool party was a bit much if you just want to relax, but it did present a party atmosphere.

Wonderful Experience

Hotel room was very nice and clean. We had great service from the hotel Conceirge. Set up our car rental, directions to recommended restaurants and shopping. Casino was fun and two of us basically had our trip paid for. Food was also very good. We would definitely go back!! Sedona is a must see! It was 1-1/2hr drive and every bit worth it...

Fabulous trip!

The resort was great! Everything was clean, staff friendly, location was also great...and quiet. The only thing about the resort that was not the best was that we were not there to gamble and the resort has a casino in which one had to walk through everytime you entered or exited the resort...smokey and gross. The only other thing about our stay that I would have a "complaint" about is that our thermostat didn't work and we had to call maintenance 3 times on 3 separate days before the faulty part was replaced. We had no issues with the thermostat after that. Other than those two inconveniences, our stay was great!!
