Unexpected lower quality

I should have read the advertisement more closely. Basically room was a renovated studio apartment. Small TV with fading color. Internet access was additioanal fee. Ammmentities were what you would expect in an apartment complex, not a hotel. Complex was renovated for Time Share. Check in kept wanting me to take a tour. Location was more than walking distance to anywhere.

My review of Scottsdale Villa Mirage Resort

Loud heater/air conditioning unit. Kitchen sink drain slow. No instructions on use of GE Convection Sensor microwave. Room was adequate and clean. Housekeeping every 4 days. Resort is really a timeshare which they offer you at time of check-in to attend informational session. $75 VISA card was initial offer and a $300 vacation kicker was added. Did not attend a session and pressure was nominal and only at check in. Great location but no restaurant on premises. Property adjacet to Resort Suites-Scottsdale which I prefer.

Not Great

The room was just normal. The Ice maker by our room was out of order. In all three nights the room was never made up for the next day. No fresh towels after the first day. I would not recomend the Scottsdale Villa Mirage Resort to anyone.

Great Price but didn't like pitching to

It was a nice place but did not like having to listen to joining their resort before I could get a parking pass to get to the room. Otherwise, nice place. Room a little bit noisy and appliances did not work and they didn't seem to interested when we told them

Left a lot to be desired

My sisters and I took our mother to celebrate her 80th birthday. Unfortunately, when we opened the door to our 2 bedroom unit, the smell of smoke hit us in the face. (This is supposed to be a non-smoking room.) When we called to complain the staff was very apologetic and said there were no other 2 bedroom units available to move us to. They then came with a bottle of air freshener and an air filter unit. They also acknowledged that the person who often occupies this unit smokes and were surprised that the "double cleaning" did not remove the smell! Well, when you have people allergic to smoke, we are serious when we request non-smoking rooms! We spent much more time away from the unit than we had hoped because we couldn't stand the smell. Every time we returned, it was obvious that the smoke smell was still there. Even our clothes picked up the smell from hanging in the closet. Also, we needed to run the shower for a solid 10 minutes to get any hot water. One bathroom shower had no water pressure. When we checked out, and complained, they said, oh yeah, one of the 2 boilers went out on Thursday and they won't be able to look at it until Monday. Too bad they didn't mention it to us instead of letting us get frustrated by the lack of hot water. I would think twice before coming here again. Oh - the pool personnel were very friendly :-)

Beware When Checking in you get tricked into timeshare sales pitch!

Went for Baseball Spring Traing trip. Upon arrival I was pretty much told I had to spend 90 minutes for a sales pitch & pay $25.00 (ltr refunded). I did not attend. We stayed 6 days our room was Never cleaned & we just reused our towels. Next time I will book with a chain hotel, so there are no surprises & know the room will be cleaned.

Not what I expected.

The room was ordinary. The furnishings were dated and not up to what I expected for a resort. They are in the process of renovating and had one entire building closed while they painted and updated appliances and furniture. I'm sure it will be much nicer when done. The North Scottsdale location was great.

Nice but not so nice

We had an old room ,but it was ok as far as clean goes,we were on the bottom floor and there was a family of 7 on the floor above us,I don't need to tell you it was a bit noisey. The pool was closed for clean up due to a child that had an accident. The fan in our room was making noise ,making it had to fall asleep. The laundry room was way too small, I even had a man get upset at me because I left and didn't stay with my cloths till they washed.I did however love [...] in the gift shop .[...] and the other employees were terrific. The only one I got upset about was the high pressure saleman , we told him at the very beginning we weren't interested and he made us sitt there for 1 hr and 45 min. when you told us it was only going to last 1 hr and 30 mins.We used Orbitz and we thought we wern't supposed to have to listen to the sales pitch. You sent us on a limo ride to the Arizona Cassino and that was great we loved the show and the limo driver Gorden was great, left my camera in the limo and he returned it what a great guy.The parking it awful, not enough i have badd knees and i had to walk around the other side of the complex. We needed a cart for our luggage and there wasn't one to be found, in Brason they provide all of that. The place must have been nice when it was first built .It really needs some up dating although i heard that work was in progress. They need to serve something to eat before the presentation they didn't even offer us a donut. The food in the grill was good.We did alot of things like visit Canyon Lake ,we drove up to Prescott and went to shopping at the outlet. The location was great and the grounds look nice at the entry.

It's ok

My honey and I stayed here as part of our romantic getaway. The room was a little cramped. There was no tub, or elevator. The room looked a little cheap, but it had everything that you would need (blender, wine opener, dishes, ect.) It had a cute little cafe, but no alcohol served on the premises. All in all it was just ok. No major complaints, but no huge likes about it either. This type of place might be better for a family with kids or teenagers.
