Scottsdale Thunderbird Suites

My stay only lasted one day as oppose to 4 days due to changing rooms because of soiled furniture. The first and second room were not sanitary to me and my husband (didn't want to sit on the sofa or chair). Also, in the second room, the refrigerator leaked even though the cooler knob was turned up! The Lobby was nice but rooms didn't match but they did refund me the full monies pre-paid so I was appreciative of that. I can not recommend this place until they have made the changes; the price to me was way too high based on where I completed my stay!

This was a great stay for me. Good breakfast, and the front desk was very nice. Room was clean and comfortable.

This suites hotel has potential to be a good value, but with three distractions I won't return there in future. A soiled couch in TV/desk area was just plain gross. Old starchy sheets that did not fit made me change beds twice during the night to try and sleep. Finally, just plain loud plumbing from floors above to toilet that took 10 minutes to reset was comical. You can do worse, but you certainly can do better than this hotel.

The hotel was nice..kind of far from Phoenix airport, but for the price it was good. The couch in our room had a few stains but everything else seemed quite clean. The pool was very nice and refreshing!

Super convenient to have an air-conditioned room waiting for you when you check in on a hot August evening. All staff encountered were friendly and efficient. Maintenance person on premises was always on the go and checking everything from pool ph levels to repairs all around. All our family wanted a restful vacation with good eating. The hotel was not empty but we pretty much had the pool to ourselves. Breakfast buffet was very nice, especially with the variety of ways eggs & potatoes were prepared--and there was meat too!

The accom was one minute away from Apple and the shopping centre I wanted to visit. Fashion Square and Old Town were about 15 minutes drive away though. The suite was small and efficient, a little tired with regard to broken coffee pot lid, poorly repaired table lights etc., but fair value since the price included an adequate breakfast and a daily newspaper. My complaints are that the air-conditioning and exhaust fan in the bathroom are old systems and annoyingly loud and intrusive. Oh and on the 2nd morning the hair dryer blew up in my hand....but Housekeeping quickly delivered another. I ended up staying a 3rd night [...] I can only guess that when the hairdrying blew up it affected the TV which would no longer work so they after about an hour I was moved to another room. That next TV didn't work so they moved me for a 3rd time in 2hrs. It was a frustrating process which ruined my plans for a peaceful, relaxing last night in Phoenix. The next morning I complained to the manager who was both professional and solicitous and gave me a 50% discount on that extra night's accom.Would I stay there again? Travelling with a friend means that you can spend more on a higher standard of accom but as a single I can only afford so much. Yes if I wanted to go to Apple Scottsdale I'd stay there. It's more than fine. That said, I think I'd try other places next time just to compare value for money.

Very good staff in all areas. Clean and comfortable facility.

My son and I stayed at the Thunderbird Suites 4 nights while he played in an AJGA Jr golf tournament there in Scottsdale. The hotel grounds were nicely kept, rooms were a bit older, but upgraded a little w/ flat screen TV's upgraded bathroom countertops and beds were comfortable. Bathroom is very small, but all in all the room has everything you need. You can't get any better for the price, and if you want a cheap room, cant' ask for much more than the Thunderbird provides. You get more than you pay for here. No airpport noise whatsoever either. Good experience, good price, good value for the money. Location to fwy, shopping etc is very good. Thanks Thunderbird.
