Stay long enough to enjoy it all!
The hotel had many amenities that in our quick 3-day trip we didnt get to enjoy them all. The desk staff were pleasant but I found the staff at the on-site gift shop, spa and restaurants to be very friendly, personable and willing to go the extra mile for us. The spa was wonderful. The pools were great. The grounds were clean and the standard rooms are HUGE! We will be back if we can stay long enough to enjoy everything that the automatic resort fee offers.

The hotel grounds were very beautiful and the swimming pools were awesome. [...].We attended some Giants spring training games that were awesome and within a few miles. There were some fabulous dining options in the surrounding area.

Weekend stay too short
The hotel staff was tentative and courteous. The grounds were beautiful and the food fabulous. The bar could have been open later.

Not a four star resort
Bathtub drain very slow, no refrig in room, costly add on services (internet connection $1 per minute in Business Center) that are free in most hotels.

Good bargain for Scottsdale
We visit Scottsdale often to escape the winter chill in Flagstaff. The Scottsdale Plaza Resort is one of the best bargains in the "high season". Large, comfortable rooms, laid-back atmosphere, beautiful mature landscaping (shade is like gold in the desert), close to downtown. Don't expect new and sparkling. For that, move up to the Fairmont, for $200 more per night. Upgrade to a villa suite if possible. Private, roomy, quiet, huge manicured lawn, patio. Sweet. Wherever you are, use the villa pool. Unless you like crowds and noise.

Roswick Scottsdale Plaza Trip
I was given no notice of a resort fee of $17 per night. If they are going to charget that I should have been told up front. Very noisy older air conditioners.

Nice facility with sub par rooms.
This facility was rated as a four star hotel and matched that in most categories except the most important. The rooms were equivalent to a room you'd find in a Best Western or equivalent. They were clean and comfortable but certainly not 4-Star. The facility common areas were well maintained and attractive. The pools and grounds were very attractive and comnfortable. The location was perfect and only 2 miles north of Old Town Scottsdale and The Fashion Mall.

Nightlife tip:
Short drive from hotel
Old Town Scottsdale was an area that provided entertainment at all times of the day. Good restaurants and entertainment nightly and shops, farmers market and people watching were great during the day. This is a nice place to hang out at any time during a lull in you visit

Excellent quality w/elegance!!
We arrived late and left very, very early. Not much time to enjoy, therefore, $17 resort fee that was required was certainly wasted and we knew we would only be there for just the late nite & early departure, but they would not relent. Also, if i wanted to use internet, it was $12.95 per day. I thought that was rather high when i just wanted to check email on ipod touch. Excellent handicapped room !!! Never seen better!! Very comfy beds with perfectly plump and soft pillows (NOT flat). We were very impressed with the room, the elegant & magnificent lobby, the grounds, gardens and pools were beautiful.
