Very Good stay
The hotel itself was very nice and comfortable in the room. The staff was very nice. The location was a little out of the way but that is really my fault as I should have mapped it out and I would have seen that. The Casino was not why I stayed their but it did seem a bit smokey. I complain with even moderate smoke so that needs to be said. All and all, it had a really nice pool, restaurants, rooms and the people were nice. Thumbs up.

Amazing!!
This hotel was fantastic!! The staff was amazing and the rooms were fantastic! The sleep number beds were wonderful and the restaurant across the way was so good we went there twice during out stay. It was QUIET which was the best part. No screaming kids, or angry customers. We did hear a dog bark once but never at night. It's not really close to anything but the views are beautiful. They only thing that would have made the trip absolutely perfect would have been a working mini fridge and a microwave in the room. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone I know!

Short walk from hotel
The restaurant across from the check in area was fabulous!! The food was so delicious and the wait staff was so nice. I highly recommend the corn chowder and the risotto if you have the chance to go. We were only there for 3 days and we ended up going twice because the food was so good!

MANAGEMENT: OK!. SERVICE: Not So Hot.
I live in the Scottsdale/Fountain Hills area. I travel extensively. While in town, I love to visit the RAdisson/ Ft. McDowell Casino. Great community! Great location! Great facility! Makes me wonder, can't something be done about service? While the casino and hotel are separate facilities, I have found that many of the service problems migrate between the two. Food service, in particular, is below par and works to spoil what otherwise would be a beautiful setting with expansive deserts vistas.

We would highly recommend :)
We just got back from an absolutely wonderful vacation to the Scottsdale area. When my husband and I walked into the hotel, we were so excited to see we had chosen a great place. When booking online, it's sometimes hard to know from the pictures exactly what to expect - this hotel's pictures dont do the place justice. It's so beautiful. The pool is so wonderful, the poolside bar was a really nice bonus. There were so many places to sit outside if you didn't want to be by the pool. The food was delicious, whether it was at the main restauraunt, from room service, or from the casino. We would highly recommend this hotel to families or couples with no kids. There is a lot to do. We would also highly recommend renting a car, as any nice restauraunts are about 20 minutes away (which was ok for us, because the scenery was so beautiful on the drive into Scottsdale). The WeKoPa golf course was so incredibly beautiful :) We will definately stay there again.

Mixed Bag
Our first trip to this area and hotel. Be warned, our GPS and our friend's GPS both misdirected us based on inputting the hotel's address. Luckily, since it's the only big building for miles it's not hard to spot from the hghway. There is a casino attached to the hotel. The hotel is several miles from anything else, including the town center of Fountain Hills. The hotel itself is nice; lots of parking and our room was spacious and comfortable. We didn't spend much time at the hotel so really didn't check out all the amenities; however, we did try two of of the restaurants. Both were very disappointing. The coffee shop at the casino featured a limited menu, surley service and a large quantity of just passable food. We tried the bufffet breakfast at the hotel's restaurant; terrible! Only had about 6 items, and they were out of 1-2 of the items the whole time we were there. There was some sort of dance competition for teen girls going on so the hotel was full of girls and moms screaming and running around all hours in costumes. We also had the misfortune of being next door to a crying baby who was unhappy in the middle of the night and early in the a.m. The hotel staff seemed to be a mixture of those who were trying hard, and others who were totally indifferent. When I asked for a printed receipt upon checkout you would think I was making an outrageous demand. Maybe we just happened to hit this hotel at a bad time, but I was not impressed and given the location which is somewhat out of the way I probably wouldn't stay there again. However, if you are into casinos, this would probably meet your needs.

Shopping tip:
Not Applicable
If you want shopping, I'd recommend staying in Scottsdale. The shopping is virtually non-existant at the hotel and very limited in Fountain Hills.

Not
Called first to see if room had HDTV since I would be there on Super Bowl Sunday. Was told ALL rooms did. NOT. Called desk and they simply said I shouldn't have been told that. TV wouldn't even turn on Sunday morning and the Maint guy said they didn't have any extras. @ Check-in was told they might not have a room. Info said they had refrigerator. It was warmer than the room. Called for repair and Operator didn't even put me to Maint, She said they are coolers and they do not get cold??? There were pills and beer bottle caps under the chairs and TV cabinet when we got there.

Bring a Gas-Mask. Air was so thick with cigarette smoke you couldn't get out of it. Put clothes in a plastic bag and tied it shut when we got back to the room

Great Hotel, Not so great on NO SMOKING
We loved your hotel and pool. The customer service was very great too. My only complaint is that someone was smoking next door to us and it was coming into our room. Not so good when you have a baby and hate smoke. I'd suggest being more strict on those nasty smokers in AZ!
