Gainey Suites Hotel

After dinner we attempted to use the pool only to find a 4 inch cockroach in it. Later we tried to watch the tv but that didn't work. So ultimately I had to sit in the room and watch a movie on my iPad. The beds were covered with uncomfortable sheets and the breakfast was mediocre. The only thing I like about the hotel was the free beer, wine, and food at the happy hour.

Spacious & clean rooms with kitchens, nice courtyard pool, free breakfast & happy hour snacks & beverages. Hotel is a short drive from downtown/Old Town Scottsdale and approx. 30 minutes from the airport. Easy walk to restaurants. We stayed here for 2 nights as the last leg of our vacation so we didn't have time to see a lot.

This is simply a very good hotel. It's one of those "suites" hotels, so it had a full-sized fridge, stove, cabinets, etc. Imagine a perfected version of that, and you've got it about right. Not luxurious, exactly, but very well-executed. The room was clean, the furnishings showed no sign of wear, and were pleasant and even inventive in some ways. The atmosphere was quiet, relaxing and pleasant, and the staff was polite and pleasant but not intrusive. Location was in a quiet road off of a busy and moderately upscale area of Scottsdale, with grocery, Starbucks, Bevmo, quite nearby.

We ate, we swam we hung out! We had a great time! They fed us and gave us drinks and the staff was so great! We will go back for sure. Very clean, pool was the perfect temp and they gave the kids a teddy bear to take home.

The Hotel was great! Lovely courtyard with pool. Had private areas where two people could sit as well as a large sitting area to look out at the fountain and palm trees. Enjoyed drinking wine and relaxing at night. Each morning we enjoyed a nice breakfast which included cereals, pastries, eggs, pancakes. And a added bonus was the happy hour with beer, wine, and hot food.

the location of this hotel is excellent for moving around the phoenix, scottsdale areas. very convenient. the room was very clean, updated, the employees there were very friendly, and helpful. the pool was excellent. the breakfast and the evening foods were also excellent. i haven't any ideas about how this experience could be better and i've never given 5 stars to anyplace, but i have no choice this time. i would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this area. i wish i were back there now, and we will return whenever we travel to that area. The exercise room is small, but for a reasonable fee, they have a full gym and spa within walking distance that is excellent. For aerobic things the exercise room is just fine

I was very impressed with this hotel. We had a king suite so that we would have a separate room to put our child in to sleep and were suprised at the size of the rooms and the comfort. The interior was clean, beds and furnishing comfortable. We requested a crib for our toddler and were suprised to get a rolling crib rather than the usual pack-and-play that most hotels provide. They have free fresh baked cookies at the front desk and the breakfast was quite good. The pool isn't really big or spectacular, but we enjoyed it just the same. Overall we were very pleased with the experience. We also ate at the restaurant next door and the food was very good.

The location was perfect for us. We have stayed in many hotels over the years and we would definitely stay here when we return to Scottsdale in the future. The staff was friendly and courteous. Highlights include a great staff, solid breakfast buffet with lots of fresh fruit, comfortable rooms with kitchen, nearby dining/shopping/hiking.

Wonderful experience. The Pool was closed however we were shuttled to the Hyatt Regency to use their amanities. We had a great time. Breakfast was good. Cookies yummie! Room and hotel very clean.

Staff was extremely friendly. Location was great! Nice happy hour and breakfast every morning for free! Very clean hotel! Very quiet area and everything we needed was within walking distance. Will stay here again! Only problem we had was there was free WIFI but couldn't get the internet on our computers!
