Perfect Anniversary Celebration

My husband and I cannot say enough good things to describe our stay. From the moment we entered the lobby to our departure the entire staff were courteous, helpful, attentive to our every need and made us feel like a special welcomed guest. We immensely enjoyed the lovely grounds, the spa and the restaurants. We had a lovely anniversary and was glad we chose the Fairmont Princess in Scottsdale. If you have children they are welcome too. The hotel has plenty for them to stay active and entertained.

Overall it was great

I had to switch rooms shortly after getting there because I had no wifi or cell service, but the second room was better. Throughout the whole area there was only spotty wifi, but at least I had cell service. This is a very fancy hotel, and they will do everything for you. I am uncomfortable having other people do things for me that I can do for myself, so a lot of it was over the top for me. The room and bed were very comfortable. The pools were great. It was nice and quiet. Very clean. If you are looking for a resort, this is a great place to stay. The parking charge was a joke. If I am already paying to stay there I shouldn't have to pay to park.

Summer Vacation

The Hotel was nice and the Staff was incredible, especially the front desk/valet/and pool staff. A couple minor points could have been better. Our reservation was for a pool view room, didnt get one and when you have to walk to your pool in 112 degrees that can matter. But the room was very nice. One day both water slides didnt work, kind of a bummer for my daughter but having three different pools did help. The food was Ok, but we didnt eat at any of the High End restaurants, just LV Bistro and pool and room service. Overall it was a very nice stay and we had a good time. The staff made the difference!!

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

Scottsdale 101 has a bunch of restaurant choices and is only a short drive away. Youre not far from anything, but the hotel feels very secluded.

Traveling with teens

We had connecting rooms at the Fairmont in Scottsdale and the layout was great for a family with teens. One room had a king sized bed and the other had two doubles. The rooms are on an angle and are connected with a hallway so we did not feel on top of each other. The hotel was full, but it never seemed crowded due to many pools in different locations. There is a basketball court by one of the pools that was a big hit with my boys.

Unexpected Disappointment

Nice hotel. Only temperature control that worked in the room was the heat - no matter what temperature I set the thermostat, I got heat. It was unseasonably warm in Phoenix and the room was very warm and we were not able to get a good night's sleep. Also, the room was as far away from the front desk as possible - 10-15 minute walk. Finally, restaurant service was terrible - they did not get the food order right, wait staff was never around and we had to get up and flag down help. Very disappointed!

another great visit!

This was our third "getaway from the kids" trip to the Fairmont. As always, our stay was great. The place just has good vibes. Maybe its the ever-perky staff mixed with the beautiful setting.

We really like Bourbon Steak. Michael Mina's restaurant on site. It is a dark, very adult place. Perfect for a night without the kids.
