Mediocre Stay

We stayed at the Fairmont for a long weekend. The room was just okay. Beds very small. Ordered room service for breakfast that was late, incorrect and subpar. Was shocked that it cost $45 for hotel guests to exercise in the main workout room. Instead, guests were sent to a small rinky dink room that has VERY old equipment. I was worried that the bike that I was riding was going to fall apart! Would definitely not describe this as a luxury hotel.

Not impressed.

This hotel was all that you expect in a hotel, but not a resort. It was clean, fancy and proper, but boring!!! No live music, no activities nada. It did have 2 pools, but if you were not in the pool there wasn't a whole lot to do. The restaurants and bars do not open until 530pm. Location wasn't really convenient for much either. At least a 20 minute drive or a 40 dollar cab ride away from a good night life or local shopping. Visit old town Scottdale, that was nice and take the CANYON CREEK horseback riding tour! Very much worth the money, Joey the cowgirl will guarantee you will have a blast. Oh and by the way the concierge messed up my plans and didn't notify me until the next day, when I question why my vouchers were not sent up to my room. Overall if your going to spend that kind of money, spend it else where!

Noisy on weekend - bar/party scene

Would not recommend for quiet night or weekend getaway. They don't mention that the room will vibrate until midnight from the outdoor bar/lounge music

Expensive but nice

Did not take advantage of all the place had to offer but it has to be one of the nicest places in Scottsdale. Proximity to TPC, the pool and th Casitas rooms were fantastic. Very helpful staff and beautiful grounds. If you don't mind the rate the place is great.

Great place to be.

Everything was wonderful, the food, the comfortable rooms, the attention to detail, makes this place a cut above the best. The choice of three pools, always places to lounge, and enjoy a relaxing time, while the staff meets your every need. I will stay here over and over.

On the hotel grounds, you have to eat at the La Hacienda. Best Mexican food you can find anywhere.

loved it

Everyone was professional and friendly. My room was classy but most importantly clean. La Hacienda offered delicious food and the staff was very attentive. This was a fabulous winter getaway for me and I had nothing but a positive experience. Keep up the great job!!!

Time-saving tip: Not Applicable

Make a reservation at La Hacienda ahead of time because it can get crowded due to happy hour. Everyone must talk to Abeer the "tequila goddess" at La Hacienda who will give you some great information on not just tequila but the great alcohol they serve there. The Don Julio 1942 is a must!! Anyone using the Pheonix super shuttle needs to call at least 24 hrs. in advance to book a reservation. Everyone needs to ride the "choo choo" train.

An great time from beginning to end at this beautiful, full-on resort. Our 4th visit will not be our last. Try to the gold club upgrade for access to the Spa and gold lounge, with its breakfast buffet and afternoon snacks.
