Clarion Hotel Scottsdale

My room was clean, cool, & comfortable.. there was a pool party going on when we arrived.. we couldn't wait to change to join the party. The pool was very clean & the water was nice.. we had an amazing time. Can't wait to go back.

Great location, free delishous coffee every morning, Staff not to friendly but ,helpful, One negative is that Papi chulas restaurant thats attached to hotel stops serving breakfast at 1030am !!!!

The staff was pleasant when we checked in. However, the first room assigned the deadbolt lock did not lock. Had to ask for another room. This is not a place I would spend much time. It was a bed to sleep -

The room felt dirty--carpets either stained or not cleaned recently. When I was going to sleep, I heard some noises but though maybe it was from rain dripping outside and ignored it. In the morning, as I was laying in bed drinking coffee, I heard the chewing sound and thought there may be a mouse in the room. a few minutes later I saw a HUGE RAT run under the dresser. I immediately notified front desk. Night manager and maintenance responded. Maintenance guy saw it but could not catch it. Needless to say, I checked out shortly after. When i checked out, the day manager was on. I told him I had the rat in the room. His response "yea, I heard"..no apologies, no attempt to "right it" by a comp'ed stay in the future. Very rude. I will be contacting the General Manager/owners.

This was an exceptional value. The restaurant was very good and the service exceptional. Only one complaint, getting out of the parking lot. Difficult to go South on Scottsdale road and only the one entrance and exit.

The Clarion is nicely located in Scottsdale, close to lots to do. The hotel's restaurant is nice. The food was well prepared. The room was unacceptably noisy, with a horrible sounding air conditioner that was ineffective. The carpet and bath tub were stained. At 9:00 pm the first night someone with a sledge hammer was pounding on a concrete tire stop in the parking lot just down from our room. The racket, while not as bad as the air conditioner was horrific.

While staying at the Clarion in Scottsdale we ran into a variety of issues. Besides being conveniently located, the hotel did not offer us anything special. We went two days without room service leaving towels. We had to track down room service after the front desk did not have towels either. We had a broken toilet and fridge. The house keeping staff also moved our personal items to a random drawer without us knowing. We spent a considerable amount of time looking for our things. On our last day the staff deactivated our keys prior to check out so we were locked out of our room. Definitely would not stay here again.

We chose this hotel for the price and the location. It worked out perfect. Plus they have a free shuttle service. It couldn't have worked out better. We will for sure stay there again.

Perfect location in Scottsdale just north of Old Town. Free shuttle service within 5 miles of the hotel. Clean comfortable rooms with all the amenities. Large flat screen TV w 50+ channels, fast WIFI, cold ac and more. Fitness center had all the machines I needed. The pool grounds are beautiful and awesomely comfortable... very well padded chaise lounges. Several semi-private canopied gazebos with either double-chaise or living room type pits. The pool was clean and warm at night and a nice hot tub. Very nice landscaping. Happy hour. Poolside service. Restaurant gives a discount on breakfast. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Will visit again.
