The hotel 3 Palms is just two miles from downtown Scottsdale and is both convenient and opulent. Chic decor touches include padded headboards and handpicked modern art. There is a concierge and tour planning services. High-end room amenities include pillow-top mattresses, free Internet, and DVD and CD players with surround sound. Great Value

nightmare room
The staff was unfriendly, the room was totally unacceptable. It was filthy, cobwebs were hanging in the corners and off the ceiling. The air conditioning did not work either. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone for any length of time. We were completely dissatisfied and moved to another hotel the evening we arrived.

great for a quick business trip
I stayed here while attending a conference at another resort. The rooms were reasonable, clean and just great for sleeping while not 'working'. It was chilly but the pool/hot tub area were really nice - though I never had time to enjoy it.

Very impressed that room had fridge and microwave. I did have issues not in your control ~ around 2AM someone banging on room door next to mine, and the walls must be thin because I could hear them talking every AM. The coffee maker cord is pulled so tight it was hard to pull it away from the wall so you could pour the water into it. I was suprised on check in to have to leave a $100 incidental depost and have now have to wait for my "refund." But it's a great value stay for Scottsdale

Excellent Value
Overall, this was a nicely maintained hotel that provided two very comfortable nights during our trip to Arizona. The room was pristine and the staff were very helpful. We'd definitely stay there again.

Not Quite What I was Looking For.
My room at this hotel was clean, and sharply decorated. The bed was comforable and the room was quiet. The pool and spa (neither of which I used) seemed very nice. Maybe I'm more of an economy traveler, but I was disappointed that the rooms opened to the outside, like a motel, didn't have a fridge or a microwave, and no continental breakfast was offered. I paid $58 through an online travel site for my 1 night stay, so I certainly can't argue about the value. But next time I will look closer to see if amenities that are important to me are offered.

The 3 Palms motel in Scottsdale, Arizona
I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the door to my King room with spa tub. The room was nicely decorated retro modern, very clean and spacious. I was impressed by two 80 inch flat screen tvs in master room and sitting room equipped with every amenity that I needed. The pool was beautiful and clean as we're the spas. It was in a great location minutes from old downtown Scottsdale and convenient to shopping. There was a beautiful park across the street with a lovely lake with walking trail. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Room service was a problem there seemed to be a disconnect with the motel and restaurant. I would recommend going to the restaurant not ordering room service because you may not get it. The one meal we did eat was very good however it took 2 and a half hours to get so the motel compensated me for it. I would definitely stay there again.

Short drive from hotel
Downtown olde Scottsdale was very charming with galleries lots of shops many price ranges and some quaint eateries. We loved the trolly system that is free that you can pick up down the road with a short walk.

Horrible stay
One nght...I am a none smoker and the people in the next room smoked and it came into the room. The next night...the people or person in the same room banged on the door in between the rooms everytime I laughed at the tv or spoke on the phone. The room had hair in the shower and the same hair was there all three days. I was too tired and too busy during my stay to complain and find a different place to say. I will NEVER stay there again nor recommend anyone to stay there.
