High style meets old-fashioned customer service in downtown Phoenix
High style meets old-fashioned customer service at this downtown Phoenix address. The hotel is the winner of an American Society for Interior Design award. Sharp details such as cobalt blue granite and hand-blown glass lighting adorn the hip lobby and carry over into sleek guest rooms. A heated rooftop pool is a respite from urban hustle. The dry sauna and full-service hair and nail salon await to pamper off the lobby. Two on-site restaurants satisfy food cravings. Full convention and banquet facilities offer a peerless locale for events.
Highlights
  • Starbucks kiosk in lobby
  • Heated rooftop pool
  • 60,000 square feet of event and convention space
Rooms

Most of the 532 rooms and suites were recently updated in chocolate brown hues with splashes of signature cobalt blue and rusty orange. Expect embossed wallpaper, Herman Miller ergonomic desk chairs and upholstered headboards. Luxury bedding sits atop Serta mattresses. True Blue bath products beckon in the decked out bathrooms. Free high-speed Internet access, a spacious work area, and two-line speakerphone offer convenience. Upgrades include one- or two-bedroom suites with two or three full bathrooms.

Dining

The restaurant is near many downtown Phoenix restaurants. On site is the Icon Lounge, a hangout serving small dishes with global infusions. Marston's is known for its breakfast buffets, but it serves American fare at lunch and dinner, too. The Starbucks in the lobby has the wake-up stuff you need after a night on the town.

Recreation

A heated pool and terrace sits on the 19th floor. The dry sauna and full-service hair and nail salon await with more pampering just off the lobby.

Dining

Marston's Caf??
Experience one of the best downtown Phoenix restaurants and a popular spot during the busy lunch hour. Our full-service, breakfast-through-dinner "brasserie-style" bistro carries a casual ambience and fresh dishes.
Icon Lounge
An icon is commonly described as an object of devotion, and our version certainly has its devotees. Our happening hotspot in downtown Phoenix is the place to be and be seen. Specializing in hand-crafted martinis, mixed-drinks, and good times.

Nice Hotel

The Hotel was very nice. We did have some challenges in making sure that we had actual reservations and finally someone at the hotel helped us out. Really liked the location to the conference center. elevators had some issues. I never did find a business area with computers.

A GREAT place to stay!

We went to Phoenix for the NCAA Regional basketball games. The location of the hotel is perfect if you are going to US AIrways Arena. All the restuarants and bars you need are right there also. For me this is the place to stay in Phoenix!

DIRTY Room

I have never been in a hotel room with so many stains on the floors and walls. There were huge spots on the carpet, parts of wall paper were peeling, and there were even holes in the wall. They clearly put all their effort into making a nice lobby and posting only pictures of what's been updated.....which was obviously not my room.

Excellent service

Very nice, clean environment. Staff was very helpful. I forgot my phone charger at home and they had a box to look through for one that would fit my phone.

downtown fun

right in the center of phoenix, one can walk to museums and rail transit. It is difficult to find restaurants that are open in the evening.

Great location

Hotel has been re-modeled and looks really good. The rooms are nice, but the walls a very thin and hear the next door neighbors. There are extra charges that add up if you are not careful. Park a car is $26.00 per night and they charge extra for wi-fi. The location is perfect for walking and is a safe area. The staff were all very friendly and very helpful with info. Would stay again!!

Beware - Thin Walls

First - the Wyndham has been purchased and is now a Renaissance, which made finding my hotel very confusing. Second - I would give this place 4 stars, except the walls are so thin you can hear everything said at a normal speaking volume in the neighboring rooms. I woke up at 2am thinking there was a person in my room, but it was just the next room having a conversation.
