best friends weekend

We loved our stay. Each pool was lovely, the water was warm, everything in the resort was clean and well taken care of. The staff were very nice and helpful. The landscaping was gorgeous. Our room was very clean and updated. The resort felt like an old mediterranean town with narrow curving streets, colorful buildings, spanish tiled roofs, beautiful flowers and cactus. We loved that there was an adults only pool, and that there was music only at the big family pool area. The rest of the pools were quiet and peaceful. The only thing we weren't impressed with was the food at the restaurant at the pool at the Falls, it was very average. Also the food at the Pointe in Thyme was average. Another food problem was that the mexican restaurant at the resort was closed the entire time we were there for a "private function", although we never saw anyone in it. My friend is a vegetarian and was looking forward to that option. The vegetarian food served to her at the Pointe in Thyme was very bland, as well as the vegetarian food at A Different Pointe of View. A Different Pointe of View had an incredible view, gorgeous bar and amazing patio area overlooking the entire city. What a treat it was to have dinner at such an amazing location!

Very Nice would recommend

If you golf check out Lookout Mtn course, staff is GREAT!!! Course is well groomed and has its challanging points. You can also save if you pick up some snacks and drink at the near by grocery, the prices at the resort are a "bit" too high.

Spring Break

The resort was great. My friends and I went hiking every morning on the trails behind the resort, then a played a little tennis and ate lunch poolside. I recommend the fish tacos. Pool side service was a bit slow but not too bad. The staff were great and had excellent food recommendations for us through out the week. Biggest down side was that internet was not included.

Nice place to stay in Phoenix

This is a nice resort. It's well-maintained, with a friendly staff that was very accommodating. Our suite consisted of a roomy bedroom and a large separate living room, with 2 doors to separate the two rooms. We ate at one of the hotel restaurants, Pointe in Thyme, twice, and both times the food was delicious - better than I would typically expect for a hotel restaurant. One of the very nice things about this hotel is that there is a hiking trail running right past it, so we were able to go for a hike several times straight from the hotel. There is also a big pool area with a water slide for kids, but we tended to use the small pool and hot tub in another area of the resort. It was nice to have these choices. The hotel had problems with the in-room internet service for most of the time we were there. They provided free internet at some central locations while they tried to repair the room internet. When the internet was fixed,I was shocked to learn that there was no free internet anywhere at the hotel - even in the lobby! Every guest had to pay for in-room internet in order to use it anywhere. Also, while the fitness center is small but adequate,I was surprised to see a $10 charge on my bill for the one time I used it. This "nickel-and-diming" was an unfortunate issue at the hotel. This was not the most high-end resort I have seen in this price range, but it was very nice.

Great Stay !

My hotel stay was great ! There seem to be some sort of soccer tournament going on because there were a lot of kids running around. Other than that the staff was great. The rooms were nice and the bed slept very comfortably !

Girls getaway

We were looking for a place that we could be happy without leaving the resort and Tapaito Cliffs is the place. With the numerous restaurants and pool cafe, we never had to leave. Unfortunately it was off season (Oct 7-11) and some places were closed and/or closed early, which was disappointing. The spa was another attraction for us and it didn't disappoint. Great over all service, through out the resort.

Spectacular cliffs

I had read bad reviews but was really surprised when I got there. The pools and the water slide were fantastic. The room was really clean and pretty. The setting was superb with all the cliffs and the different pools at different places. Service was always polite and very friendly but a little slow at the Falls pool snack bar. Glad they had a Starbucks in the main lobby. Everybody seemed to be having a fantastic time.
