Great getaway
Wonderful place that has everything onsite. A bit north of the Airport, but once you get there, you are in heaven. Clean roomy Suites...modern TVs, beautiful property, very serene. Many pools, clean gym with nice equipment, Starbucks coffee in the lobby. Golf pro shop, on site course (didn't get to take advantage this time...). I paid what I would pay for a Holiday Inn just about anywhere else. Probably higher during peak season, but if you're looking for a place for the whole family to relax and play without having to go anywhere, this is a great spot.

If you're there for a bowl game (as I was) this is a bit far from the Stadium...there are probably other hotels closer, but there may not be any nicer!

Great Experience!
We booked online for a king room & when we arrived, Tyler (I think) informed us that a high school band was in the larger bldg that our room was in & he thought we might be more comfortable in a quieter location on the hill. We agreed & then he told us he didn't have a king room, but could give us 2 queens. My husband said he really wanted the king, so Tyler upgraded us to a suite! Also, never saw anything when I made the reservation, but our stay included 2 full breakfast vouchers for both mornings! We loved this place & look forward to returning!

Room with a view!
My husband and I had a room with a balcony over looking the mountains and valley, it was beautiful! Loved the heated pools. The only problem I had was the room lacked a microwave and/or frig. The TV in the bedroom was old but we didn't watch much TV. I would love to come back just to stay in the same room with a view!

If you golf check out Lookout Mtn course, staff is GREAT!!! Course is well groomed and has its challanging points. You can also save if you pick up some snacks and drink at the near by grocery, the prices at the resort are a "bit" too high.

Overnight Stay before Returning Home
Walked the property to see the views and locate the business center to print boarding tickets. Attempted to take pictures of the moon and skyline since it was such a clear night. But was told we were not allowed to take photos by security. Took shuttle back to room. After unpacking a few things, noticed the trash had not been taken out before we checked in. The next day checked out and had breakfast at Pointe in Tyme restaurant. Service there was excellent. I can't say I completely enjoyed my stay. This time the best was as I was leaving.

Short drive from hotel
Great shopping and entertainment. Not to terribly far from the resort. The resort provides a shuttle @9 pp or u can forgo your parking spot and drive yourself. A parking spot here is worth more than the shuttle fee. The shuttle is slow on arriving, but that parking spot is more important when u have to walk a long ways with luggage on the heavily slopped property.

definitely NOT for the disabled!!!
This hotel is built on the side of a cliff. Our family was there for a wedding. We were spread out all over the facility (a lot of hill/stair climbing to get together). I was sooooo glad that I did not bring my spouse who uses a manual wheelchair. A couple of the elevators were not working. We took the kids in the main family pool. Wow, was the water cold!!! The water park was a disappointment. Again with the cold water and the prices at the snack bar were outrageous. To get to the lazy river that is offered, you have to take a shuttle to the Squaw Peak resort. Food prices at the on-site restaurant were very overpriced, as well. We travelled north on 7th St to find reasonable dining.

An overall Delight
We were there for the dual purpose of a relaxing vacation and to see the city. The hotel was a wonderful experience -pools and grounds were well maintained, food was good and views were great. We played tennis on courts that need a little maintenance and because of the low season, some facilities were not open or closed early. Rooms are spacious and clean, but a little dated and not well lit. If you want all the latest goodies in your room go somewhere else, but if you want a great place for a couple or family vacation or retreat Tapatio has it all.
