Good for golf
Very convenient for the airport - just 10 minutes away. No complaints at all about the accommodation - all spacious, clean and comfortable. The golf facilities and golf staff are all excellent - as is the pool and pool area. Just don't expect hotel style support if staying on a business trip - this is not a hotel, it's a good public golf resort.

Perfect Vacation Resort
We absolutely loved our stay. This is a wonderful place for families or couples to vacation. We don't golf but we loved it anyway. The grounds are beautiful and staff super. We had a studio apartment or room and it was great since it was just for my husband and myself. Loved the pool area. Would love to go back again.

Hotter than Hell, and No One Cares
We checked in to our room at the Legacy Golf Resort around 5 PM on a Friday. We of course turned on the air conditioning, as the outside temperature was 93 degrees. Coming back to our room later, it was obvious that the air conditioner blew air but did NOT cool. It was just recirculating the air. At 8 PM we called maintenance, and they send someone to look into the problem very promptly. He worked for about 35 minutes, replacing the thermostat and doing everything he could do to get the AC working. When he couldn't, he said that he'd contact the front desk and get our room changed. After 15 minutes, he came back and said that the front desk wouldn't talk with him -- but said they would "phone him back later". After waiting for the call, he felt he should at least tell us that the issue was with the front desk. After myself waiting another 15 minutes, I called the front desk and got NO answer. The phone just rang and rang and rang. I got dressed and drove to the front desk. Inside I found two clerks, one just finishing checking in a guest and the other chatting on the phone. When she hung up, I asked for a manager. She said she was the senior person on duty. I asked why they had not even talked with their service personnel who was trying to let them know our room was at 82 degrees and getting hotter. This "manager" went into a litany of "I'm sorry", but would answer NO question about: * Why did it take so long? * What would the hotel do with this problem? * What was more important that made my wife and I wait 35 minutes and drive to the lobby to get acknowledged? I had to tell her we needed another room. She began to assign another. I had to ask if the room just next door was available. As an afterthought, she said "I just wanted to know if you wanted another 2nd story room or something downstairs?" No other manager was available at this large establishment. Who was in charge was clearly in well over her head - had no sense of service to customer. Had I not driven to the lobby, we'd still be sweltering next door - no doubt. Avoid this establishment. I'm no crank, this is the first place that I've stayed in ten years with such a poor service level. This place (management) should be ashamed of themselves.

Overall very nice
The facilites and grounds were kept in immaculate condition. The suites were very up to date and spacious. The golf course was very nice also.Only two concerns: [...].The other issue was each day housekeeping would turn the thermostat up to 78 and when we would return in the late afternoon the room was too hot since the outside temps were in the 90's. When I notified the front desk I was given the response "we are a green resort".

Great Vacation
Purpose was to watch the Rockies in Spring Training and we found that to be a great way to spend an afternooon. We also took part in many activities at the Resort with golf lessions, dining and the marvelous pool. Room was just right for two and the maind service was timely and excellent. The highways and roads in the area are well marked and easy to navigate. Resort staff was helpful and friendly.

Great hotel
We stayed 6 nights for the BCS National Championship game, and definitely enjoyed the stay. Check in was a breeze, and the staff was super friendly. We got to choose 1st or 2nd floor for our 1 BR condo. The best part was the free Wi-Fi, which was superfast (attwifi). Parking was also free and convenient. Housekeeping would come by every day to ask if we needed anything. Kitchen supplies were in the room, and the full size fridge was very nice for leftovers. 4 of us stayed very comfortably in the one BR suite, and were able to set up our 9 year old's Wii in either room. (2 TVs were nice!) The bathtub was GLORIOUS! It was huge with jets. The shower was in a separate bathroom with a toilet and sink. Room service help was extremely nice, and when we said we needed towels, she brought us enough for the whole trip pretty much. They also cleaned the room & kitchen very well! The only small cons I would say are the old school TVs should be updated a little (although we didn't spend too much time in the room, so it wasn't a big deal). Also the pull out bed was a little uncomfortable, but we were two 24 year olds sleeping on it, so the kids should be good for that! Overall, I would definitely recommend the hotel. Great location too!

Great place to get away and relax
This was our second stay at The Legacy Golf Resort in Phoenix. We chose it because we had stayed previously for the Fiesta Bowl, and this time we were here for the National Championship game. We were offered a golf course view for an additional $10, but we declined. Even so, our King Studio Suite included a balcony that was quiet, even though it looked over the parking lot. The bathroom had two separate sinks, one inside and one outside the lavatory, which was convenient. We weren't in our room very much, but even when we were, we were comfortable. The room was spacious, with a couch, coffee table, and dining table. The small stove, fridge and washer and dryer were all very clean and well maintained. While I preferred the One-bedroom King Suite we had on our previous trip, this room was great too. One medium-size complaint was the noise of the heating/Air system. It will wake up a light sleeper or if you are in a light sleep cycle. One tiny, nitpicky complaint is that the instructions for picking up messages on the phones were incorrect. They said to push message button, but you actually had to call to the front desk to get the number to dial for voicemail. Would be nice if they updated the info for that. (But that's really nitpicky.)

When leaving the rental car center from Sky Harbor airport, look for I-10 East/Tuscon. From there it's easy to follow any directions.
